Hello, Gorilla 100% Silicone Sealant contains fungicide and is mold and mildew resistant. Silicones are inherently resistant to microbial growth because they are inorganic. But, because they are frequently used in high humidity environments with the potential to collect dirt, soap, and other deposits commonly found in bathroom spaces, mold and mildew can grow on the surface of the sealant and consume these deposits as food sources. The fungicide leeches to the surface of the sealant to provide continuous (though not unlimited) control and resistance to growth. It’s been 48 hours since I put this on in the tub and shower and it’s still pretty sticky. How long before this dries completely?

I think because it's silicone it does feel slightly sticky even if it's dry. We used the shower after 2 days and had no problem.

Can you paint over this caulk?
