I have taken spirulina and chlorella on and off for some years. The usual way of dispensing is through small pills the size of small baby green peas. This is a larger version with good performance.HOW THIS COMESThis comes in a glass bottle with bubble wrap on it. I appreciate that as it keeps them fresher and protects better from moisture.SIZEThe size of these tablets is about double the size of a typical aspirin tablet. It is not hard to take.ANY ISSUES?I have not had any issues swallowing these, no digestive upsets, no burping or other reactions from taking these.DO THEY HELP?These do help contribute to energy and support during the day. I take them to help with muscle formation and inflammation too.THE BOTTOM LINEThese are easier to take if you prefer fewer tablets vs many tiny tablets.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This Spirulina is a decent dose in small and easy to swallow capsules that don't cause any weird aftertaste or ill effects. It's shipped in a nice amber glass bottle to preserve quality (light can degrade supplements and plastic sheds microplastics). The price on this makes for a fair value even if a little on the higher side of average for Spirulina supplements. But this is above average, and for the quality and peace of mind you get knowing it's legit, safe, and lab tested, the price is completely worth it.

I've used a few different brands' spirulina supplements over the past few years, both powders and tablets, and always come back to tablets because I find the powders have too strong of a taste, even in smoothies, etc. I love that there isn't really any taste to these tablets and that they're a compact size, which makes them easy to swallow, but every other spirulina tablet I've tried has been this same size and also tasteless. I will note that the serving size for the 2000mg suggested serving is 4 tablets, which is annoying to have to take so many, but that's also standard for all of the spirulina tablets I've tried.Overall, these tablets were very similar to most others I've tried, and while I'm happy with the product itself, the price is absurd compared to other major brands' similar products. As with most spirulina tablets, each tablet is 500 mg, so the the serving size is 4-6 tablets to get the full 2000-3000 mg recommended serving. The top 5 search results for "spirulina tablets" on Amazon all range from $0.03-0.07 per 500 mg tablet, and are all from major brands, each have thousands of reviews, and most are organic; whereas these tablets are a whopping $0.15 per 500 mg tablet!!!! Spirulina is prone to being contaminated with toxins and heavy metals, so it's really important to get a high quality, lab-tested spirulina from trusted brands, but most of the major brands on Amazon are great options, so it's not like their prices are reflective of them being any lower quality than this product. Many of them even provide much more thorough information about the origin/testing of their spirulina on the product page than this one does, so I really can't see any reason setting this brand apart from others that justifies them being 2-5x the price of comparable products.Overall, 3 stars for being a good product, but the value for your money just isn't there.
