What is the minimum amount of cord needed for this mini pendant light? The fixture is 10”; can only 5” of cord be used?

The amount of cord needed is simply based on how high or low you want the fixture to hang from the ceiling. Keep in mind you do need to connect the wires from your junction box in the ceiling to the cord and will need room for your hands to work.

Does a vaulted ceiling matter?

No you would just have to mount the ceiling piece at the angle of your ceiling. I can't believe how much I love these lights! We spent 50k on a remodel and everyone comments on the cheapest part.....these LIGHTS!

Can you put cord in a metal rod?

I would think so if the rod is big enough to fit cord.
