I have been using purple shampoos and conditioners as well as box toners for nearly 20 years so I have tried quite a few. I bleach my hair at home near platinum color, and my hair is naturally brunette. I have finally found a box bleach that I can get from a regular department store that works then I will use a box toner to remove the brassiness. Then when the box starts to wear off or periodically I will use the shampoos and conditioners. Prior to this I was using salon quality bleaching products. (I still will use salon quality bleach if I am going to be putting in highlights.). This is actually a very large container of conditioner. The price around $60 seemed like a lot to me, but once I saw how big the container was this is going to go a very long way. I've actually never had a canister this large in a product for hair so there is quite a bit here. You also don't need that much, and I saturated my hair which goes down to the middle of my back without using too much then I combed it through with my shower comb. I let it sit in for a couple of minutes (probably about 3 minutes) then I rinsed it out. I didn't want to use any other conditioning products so I could see how moisturizing it was. It is pretty moisturizing which is not common even in purple conditioners. It's not amazingly conditioning but it is conditioning. But the conditioning texture is different and hard to describe. It's not like a super soft, smooth condition, it's sort of a sleek and texturized condition. It is a little bit thickerand definitely like a mask. Make sure you really scrub it around to get it to activate in your hair. You also need to rinse it more than a regular conditioner or you might get out of the shower and notice there is a bit left on your hair in spots. Once my hair was dried I could see it did a good job with getting out the brass. The second time was even more My bangs are pretty much complete Platinum color and there was a tinge of lavender. But not enough for it to look purple it just looked the ashy platinum color. When I use it again I might try to avoid that area since it is the lightest and the brass usually is sitting on the top root area. Another thing I like to do with purple conditioners is once I get it on my hair I will add in my favorite conditioner to have a little more moisture while it is sitting in there. This works for me and I appreciate it.

I love how this works in my highlighted blonde hair. The product is super dark purple and I like that it is a conditioner. Other purple products I’ve tried are usually shampoo, so it’s nice to find a hair conditioner. It is quite thick as others have pointed out, so I usually add a little water once I work the conditioner through my hair. I leave it on while I’m showering and shaving. It works really well to remove the brassy/orange from my hair and gives me that “silver” look that I strive for!!!The only thing disappointing is the scent. It’s not horrible, but not exactly what I find pleasant. It is a bit of a stinky perfume smell. I usually prefer coconut/tropic/fruity scent and would have given this a 5-star rating if I liked the smell better. A lot of people will like the scent. It is very similar to what you smell when you walk into a hair salon. The scent stays in your hair. I could even smell it the next morning after using it the previous morning. Unfortunately, that isn’t a good thing for me because I don’t like the smell. I would have preferred less or even no scent instead of the perfume smell.I think this product is very effective and worth the money for the quality of the product. I just wish I loved the smell, so it has been a little disspointing.

This is a review for the 19 Hair Mask Pro Silver for All Blonde ShadesI absolutely love this hair mask and the 19 Hair Shampoo but do have some warnings.The first is that I got the shampoo and this together and the shampoo came loose in a padded envelope and it had leaked - not very much but it made an an absolute mess. The purple is dark and left a big stain on everything it touched. The mask had not leaked but close…Because of this, I was a little concerned about putting it on my hair. I have dark brown hair with a lot of gray mixed in. I am lucky my gray is naturally more silver than it is steal gray or yellow. Even so, I was eager to try one of these type masks and shampoos since it says it would make my hair more shimmery; and it did. If you have an issue with your hair being brassy or have too much yellow, this will definitely makes your grays more silver and tone down any yellow.I went to my hairdresser to have her use it on me the first time, because I was concerned it might turn my hair purple. It did not. My hair was incredibly shiny and the silver was so pretty I got compliments on the street as I walked back to my car - it’s that pretty.My hairdresser said it looked and felt like it had the kind of sheen you get from a cellophane hair treatment. My hair was also very, very soft.But here are a couple of warnings from my hairdresser and from me. You probably shouldn’t use this mask or the shampoo more than once or twice a week or your hair might retain some of the purple. If you recently had your hair bleached and/or have porous hair, you might also end up with an unwanted purple tint. Lastly, wear gloves when you wash your hair when you apply this because you can stain your nails.So, that being said, I loved this mask and their shampoo with the warnings above.My only critique would be the smell. It didn’t bother me that much but when she first put it on my hair we both thought it smelled like someone was doing laundry - it has that kind of a bleach/clean smell. Not unpleasant to me but it may be to some.Lastly - I have thick, coarse hair that I like to wear in beach waves. This mask and the shampoo made my hair so soft it didn’t hold the beach curls more than a few days. For me the look and feel of my hair made it worth the tradeoff.
