We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility.Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle.Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately!Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you.Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others:They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell.Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added.Proof in the pudding:We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too.Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.

Update: Seller reached out and offered a full refund or a new adhesive mount. I opted for a new mount as I liked the camera. I received the mount and it is now installed and working fine for a week. Customer service was great and answered my questions quickly. If you are buying this Dash Cam, buy it with an adhesive mount. Due to stellar customer service, I am changing my review to five stars.Overall, I'm quite happy with the installation process and the camera quality—it performs well and meets expectations. However, I do have one concern: the suction cup mount did not hold up in the Texas heat. With temperatures reaching 100°F, the suction lost its grip, and the camera fell off the windshield on the second day.Given the climate, an adhesive mount should be included as an alternative, since suction mounts are unreliable in hot weather. It's disappointing considering how great the product is otherwise.

I would liked to have given this a five star rating but a couple of things made me downgrade to a 4. First of all it's a nicely designed and built product. It's relatively easy to set up with not too many buttons to confuse you and pretty logical software. The quality of the video is very good. Nicely packaged! It is smaller than you might think even if you do know the dimensions but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Installation was pretty simple and the cords are really well hidden.Now unfortunately a couple things that make this less than perfect. One very puzzling thing is that you cannot rotate the unit left and right. Up and down is easy but no way to move the cameral left and right to center the video. Thus if you set it off center on your windshield you start to get an off center video. With a wide angle lens that's probably not a very serious problem but it's still frustrating. Of course with this as well as most products the manual that comes with it is very brief and not too helpful. There are some terms used that are not clear and I still don't know what they mean and they are capabilities that are currently unknown to me. The power cord that is used to attach the unit to the car lighter is just a bit too short for my car, Honda Odyssey, I need to leave the front cord hanging out where it's less than ideal which is an issue with my wife. If the camera could rotate to the left and right I could fix that issue, with the camera power cord, not my wife.Even with some of these negatives I would still buy another one if I had another car that needed one. It's allowed me to have more peace of mind when my wife and I drive. Seeing how much individual perception of what happens in an accident can be very inaccurate along with outright lying this is great to have. You really should have one for your car.

This Redtiger dash cam is reasonably priced and very user-friendly. It includes a rear camera, which is a great addition—having both front and rear coverage is definitely better than just a front camera. Installation was straightforward and hassle-free.What I really like is how easy it is to operate. Just press the mode button and the menu pops up—no need to fumble with multiple buttons like I had to with my previous dash cam. Another helpful feature is the SD card formatting reminder, which keeps everything running smoothly.The only small challenge I had was with the WiFi connection. It didn’t connect right away because of Apple CarPlay, but once I turned off CarPlay, it connected without any issues.The video quality is also great. I recommend this dash cam to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality camera without breaking the bank.
