We live in urban FLORIDA, and Storms/hurricanes are common here. I had bought two camping lanterns 15 years ago. I did use them a couple times. But they required the huge D batteries. Most of the times I had to throw away the unused batteries! It was time to upgrade.I stumbled upon these tiny but very robust and colorful lanterns. Mallo Me!! Don’t go by the size, the light is pretty powerful, in addition they run on AA batteries. We always have a stock of AA batteries that we get from Costco. 4 lanterns for $20.00, not a bad deal!!

Was pleasently suprised after receiving this order. I had previously bought one (1) from a local gas station, for nearly the same price as I paid for all four of these. Anyway, I live in a rural area where we have no tornado warning systems so I needed something bright, lightweight and dependable when I have to head to the basement. These arrived just in time. They were wonderful for reading while sitting in the basement corner waiting for the all clear announcements on my phone. Each child could have their own color and even the smallest could carry it with no trouble. Great Product.

They are great little lanterns. The Girl Scouts use them at camp, only one needed to light up their cabin. This is my third time buying them. Highly recommend!!

The red one was cross threaded battery compartment. Giant pair of pliers fixed the problem. Lights work great.

If you live in an area where power outages go on and on for days, these are a must have. Flashlights and candles are so limited for providing all over light. Just finding the release lever for the garage door opener in a dark garage is a challenge. Place this on the car and you will be able to see hands free. If you ever experienced a power outage for days you get better prepared for the next one. These are sold as for camping, but there is a board area for use, and you will be happy you have them.
