can i use this to clip a color calibration chart to a c-stand? If not, what can I use?

Hi Ben Crouch, I have the black Kupo 2-1/2 Inch Grip Head and I use it primarily as a c-stand. To answer your question, I think yes it's possible to use it to clip a color calibration chart to a c-stand by using one of 3 grip holes on the head. I hope my contribution was helpful enough.

Can this product be used to secure a strobe with boom arm?

If it's a light and/or aluminum boom or boom arm, yes. I would be very careful using a heavier steel booms such as Kupo's Steel Baby boom. (I'm glad Kupo has now taken down their videos showing that setup.) I've had two of these grips fail with that configuration. In that scenario you'd be better off using the heavier 4 1/2 in lollipop type grip. These smaller grips are generally designed for lighter items more commonly associated with grips, such as: scrims, flags, reflectors, and diffusers.

Can i use this on a heavy duty regular light stand ( not a c-stand)

This Kupo 2-1/2-Inch Grip head is perfect for making your heavy duty light stand convert into a c-stand you'll need an extention arm. The grip head is made of solid metal so it can support all your photo accessories.

Will this work with a regular light stand?

Yes it will work with a regular light stand. It's pretty versatile and solid. I am going to get a second one to hold a 42inch Kupo boom and a Bowens strobe head with a beauty box on it. You must use sandbags though.
