Taping isn't necessary, however, it helps keep the color cards in place so they don't move around when indi rolls over them. A hard, smooth surface is recommended.

Q: What size battery is the lithium ion battery? Is it a button battery?

Q: Where can I find more indi robot cars?

Sphero does not sell individual indi cars, but you can purchase the indi At-Home Kit as an alternative to this kit. The indi At-Home Kit comes with paper color tiles as opposed to the silicone tiles included in the Student Kit.
