Knife only: 6.88 oz., knife and sheath: 10.17 oz., blade thickness: 4.5mm/0.177165 in./3/16 in. ( at thickest part, tapering to tip ).

Q: Can you Mount left handed ?

Yes. The sheath is symmetrical so the belt clip can be mounted on either side of the sheath. This is a very nice knife. The handle is ergonomic and the Sandvik 14C28N steel is easy to sharpen and takes on a very good edge. Pricing is good and has been under $60 just before Christmas.

Q: I'm guessing the swedge is unsharpened but is there enough of an angle still there to strike a fire steel on?

No. There's still about 0.1 inch of spine left along the swedge (knife is 0.188 inches thick). In general, there are no sharp edges on this knife (except the cutting edge), edges are finely finished, either chamfered or radiused.

Q: How secure does the sheath hold the knife?

I would have to say about a medium hold--should be ok if kniife is kept upright but I wouldn't carry it vertical or upside down. Nice knife though--really keeps a great edge--I will be looking to buy or make a new sheath
