Dog Elbow Protector Fleece Elbow Sleeves with Cotton Pad for Dogs Prevent Injury (Large)

I bought 2 to switch them out to wash every week. My dog has degenerative joint issues where she has swelling that occur in her joints and they slip when she moves. After many doctor’s visits, surgery was not an option and with her age, any drastic treatment was not advisable. she has difficulties getting up and down. These elbow pads have been working great as she scoots a lot and use her elbows to prop up most of the time. The pads are made of breathable material so her swelling doesn’t fester. The other arm braces I’ve tried, are made of neoprene material, they help with mobility but it irritates the constant sores on her elbows as it doesn’t allow it to breathe. This one is small bit larger in length than the others i found on Amazon. it does require some adjusting but so far this one has worked the best. i use another thinner elbow pad together with this one which catches any bleeding from her scabs. She doesn’t seem to mind having it on at all so that’s a plus.

My dog does not like putting this on because she doesn’t like things going over her feet. But these openings are loose and easy to slide over a dog paw. I did not measure before ordering although I should have. The size I got fit around her back really well nut the chest piece was just a little snug so I cut that off. My dog doesn’t like wearing things like this but once it was on she tolerated it fine. For our needs we just wanted something to cover the skin on her elbows. She is 13 and insists on laying on the hard floor and concrete outside so her elbows are calloused and dry. We just needed something to cover the skin. So far so good.

Bought these for my 75lb Rottweiler. She has horrible elbow sores and I need to keep her elbows covered. I ordered a large because she is a large dog but the cuffs are huge and not padded. More like pieces of material that are baggy. She keeps slipping them off and they don’t offer much protection. I am having to send both pairs I bought back. Bummer!!

I should have listened to the other reviews.We have a large senior black lab who keeps plopping himself on the hard floor, no matter how many beds we try he wont use them. These seemed like a great solution to protect his elbow callous as we had tried many of things that did not work.At first these elbow pads were great! They stayed where they were supposed to and his elbow callouses actually looked a little better quickly. However, not even a week of intermittent wear and they already ripped off the strap. They are now useless as they don't stay on without the strap. I will try and sew it back on myself but I don't know how long this will hold either nor should self repair be needed so quickly.Please fix the stitching quality of this product and it could truly be great.

Zeppelin has had surgery on both elbows, needed to find something that helps protect them. This item is soft, easy to use, fits right up over the top of the elbow, good value, durability, looks to he washable. Straps are stretchy to fit various sizes. Has a chest strap and strap over the back. No velcro which is great. Hoping this will eliminate further elbow surgeries.

The concept is good. That the product is made with for material. The strap across the back needs to be made with better material, not stretchy material. It will not stay tight. Therefore, it does not stay up on the above says it should.

I purchased this to treat my dogs swollen elbows. It's nice and thick and easy to put on. The quick release buckle and adjustable length is great. Her elbows improved within a day. Very happy and highly recommend.Update: My dog wore this 24 hours a day for almost two weeks. I washed it by hand a few times and put it in the dryer. Still looks new and straps held up just fine. My dogs elbows are fully healed now but it's nice to know I have this on hand if I need it again. Great product.

These were the answer to our adult german shepherd's sore elbows, who just loves to lay on hard floors. We put them on incorrectly at first, where the strap went across his chest and back, and when he walked and put his head down, they fell down his legs. But when we put them on with the band BEHIND his legs and up his back, then tightened the strap which is great they are adjustable, they stay up and in place even when he puts his head down and gets up and lays down repeatedly throughout the day. We have now bought 2 pair, to have a pair when washing them. They hold up very well to hand washing and air drying. We saw some bad reviews before we bought these, but they mentioned them not staying up, and a waste of money. We totally disagree, as they can't be putting them on correctly, because if they do, they won't slide down, but will stay in place and protect the elbows very well, from the hard surfaces dogs love to lay on. A great item for your dog, we highly recommend this product!
