Breathes new life into a vintage Victor regulator.
Standard type Victor Oxygen regulator SR250C was leaking to the low pressure side no matter how the regulator was adjusted- even when spun wall the way out. I watched every YT video I could before starting, then carefully removed the unit. The back of the unit has a hex shape that can be gently secured in a vise (with cloth to prevent scratches). This secures the regulator and allows one to unscrew the front half of the unit, noting parts orientation as I went. The diaphragm, nozzle seat, friction washer, etc. can be replaced. Make sure to follow safety measures, stand away from the face whenever opening the tank valve, clean all the grease off your tools before starting, maintain utmost cleanliness during the entire process. I think this should give another 25 years of service...

Regulator fixed!
The kit came packaged nicely and had everything I needed. My regulator wouldn't maintain pressure and would over pressurize to the point that the relief valve went off. Now it works as it should. I was careful to have a clean space to work, I wore gloves, and cleaned all the tools I was going to use with acetone. Petroleum grease/oil and oxygen don't mix well!

It’s to bad you have to buy this whole “kit” in order to get the little o-ring in the center that is what always fails. However it did fix my problem without having to buy a new regulator. It all appears to be of good quality, time will tell.

Brought my oxygen regulator back to life.

seems to be an updated version of diaphragm
my regulator has a short bolt and nut thru the diaphragm and metal plate. This is a really old way of putting diaphragms together in a lot of things besides oxygen regulators that I have worked on in the past. Some of the reviews were afraid this new one would not work because the diaphragm is put together different but it works perfectly well in the old model sr250c that I have. Fixed the problem.

I will give it a 5 star on quality. The seat assembly is to long for my regs. Don’t know what kit I will need. My regs. had same number as add.
