No it doesn't. In order to purge the middle hose after I connect it to a can, I open the refrigerant can then lightly loosen the connection to the middle port to release some gas then quickly tighten it back up.

I believe you are talking about the spare schrader valve depressor. It screws into the end of the hose. Sometimes they will blow out of the hose and good luck trying to find it.
