Beckett FR680 Pond Pump Set Submersible Water Pump, Pond Pumps for Outdoor Ponds, Maximum Flow of 680 Gallons Per Hour, Black

I bought this pump as a backup to my regular pump with more GPH as a backup. It sat in the box until about 4 months ago. As my pump lost it's umph, I replaced it with this Beckett. My original did ok, but it didn't have an onboard filtration device, so I rigged it up with a 12" circular 1/2" thick filter. It did ok, but I ultimately wasn't thrilled with how often I was having to clean the filter. What amazes me about this Beckett pump is how long it can go between cleanings. Also, I feel like I'm getting every bit of the 680 GPH well into weeks of use between cleanings. Now, I did buy a packet of replacement filters which means I can pull an old filter and slip a new one on and clean the old when ever I feel like it. It's nice having the extra filters as I'm sure, over time, they will lose some of the filtering capacity. For the price, I feel like I've getting bang for my buck, and, Beckett is a trusted name.

I have had a fish pond and now a water feature have used Beckett pumps for over 20 yrs, they seem to last 3/4 yrs running 24/7 and would recommend these pumps . A good bang for the $, easy to install and delivered on time.

Nice little pump for the price. I had pre-existing pond that needed some cleaning and I didn't order the extra filters which I should have that's why this got a four. Pond is getting better looking and just now is only needing filter cleaned once a day. It was needing cleaned out at least twice a day. So if your pond is already clean this is golden, if it is not BUY the extra filters. The filters can be cleaned but it would be easier when your in a hurry to just switch with a new one instead of cleaning it every time.I just recently bought my new home and the pond was already full with the koi and had not been kept up in I don't know how long. So I know my pond looks yucky but it's come a long way since last week now just waiting on more filters

The pump came with fountain heads and adaptors needs to set up a landscape pond to other features. The instructions for parts and installation were the best I'd ever read. Its great !

The filter at the end of this pump is super! I had to clean it several times a day as it totally clogged with the algae from my pond, but my water is much clearer. I no longer see all the algae floating throughout the pond. I still have to rinse the filter at least once every day, but it’s worth it. Hoping if I start out with this pump next season, the pond won’t get as mucky and it won’t need to have the filter cleaned as much.

Have had a few in the past, and the Beckett lasts much longer than other brands.

I have had plenty of pond filters and they are all a pain to clean and the motors always get clogged. This one was so easy to put together. When I put it in the pond I did not have to weigh it down and in 12 hours the pond was clear ro the bottom and in 24 hours I am shocked as to how clean the water is. I always try to get most of the leaves out of the pond before restarting a filter in the Spring and I knew this would have to be done first. I did it and it works great.This morning I did remove the filter and rinsed it out and that was the easiest filter cleaning that I have ever done. I have a small 300 gallon fish pond and I have always wanted a waterfall and with this system I will be able to add one with out any problem.

I have been using the 680 for over 10 years - my first one just died - I ran it 24/7 365. Ordered new one - piece of crap! Did not produce half the volume that the old one did - same exact pump on the same exact setting. Will be returning - wet! Will be calling Beckett directly tomorrow to let them know that I am not happy with the changes (whatever they are) that they have made to this once fabulous work-horse of a pump. Do not waste your money. PS - is making and awful load noise as well - totally defective!!!!!
