Great value
Good inexpensive kombu for dashi broth. Not as good grade as Hokkaido sourced brands and not as good for tsukudani but the price makes the point. We have been buying this brand for many years. Much much better than instant and just as easy. In our opinion the umami is very good. Oishii desu!

Great in baked beans
I make a lot of baked beans using heirloom dried beans in an Instant Pot. One of the things I never omit is a nice big piece of Kombu. Kombu helps to break down compounds in the beans that leads to gas formation in the intestines. It also helps make the beans creamier while giving them richer flavor. This Kombu comes in a large, flat envelop. There is enough Kombu to keep me cooking beans for months! Good value for the dollar!

Perfect for my at Home Seaweed Spa Bath!
Yes, you heard right. I use about 1/2 a bag and put it in my bathwater. All of the minerals and vitamins seep out and make the most relaxing bath!! I use the individual pieces and spread the gel that emits from them on my whole body, especially my face. The natural gel also keeps the bath water 2 or 3 x longer so you can enjoy and nice long, healthy seaweed bath!
