How breathable are these pants. Are they good for hot weather?

I wore mine for the first time yesterday on two separate hikes, the first was 8 miles, outside temp was 80 degrees F, the total elevation gain was 1900+ vertical feet, hiking with about 20 pounds of gear/water in my pack. By the time I reached the summit the crotch was soaked with sweat, seriously it looked like I peed my pants. I'm used to hiking in hot weather and have a variety of hiking pants from lightweight to fleece-lined for different conditions, these were hotter than I anticipated. The second hike was later in the day, at a higher elevation, and with cooler temps, during this hike, the pants finally dried out and were quite comfortable from then on. I think they'd be a perfect early/late season pant. My primary purpose for getting these was the ripstop material and to use them while bushwhacking through dense underbrush. They held up well in the overgrown trail I was on. My solution to the 'breathability' issue will be to add a series of 4 small grommets in the gusseted crotch area to allow for some air circulation, it's an easy fix to an otherwise solid pair of pants. I'll definitely be getting another pair as I like all the pockets, the heavy-duty belt loops, and the durability of the material.

I’m generally 31/32. I’m 5’7” will a 32 length fit me?

May be a tad long as you are a "31/32," but I've found that the sizes for these pants are pretty accurate. I'm 6.0 feet tall and take a 32/33 inseam; the 32 fits me fine.

What is the circumference or the width around the ankles of the botton of the pants?

A very generous 16 inches. Perfect to fit over any work or military boot

I'm 6' 135lbs with slim body, usually wear 32 in Levi's; since it has a stretchy waist should I go size down or stick with my normal size?

Tough question. Are your levi's really 32? Levis shrink when washed. I wear 32" 5.11. When I snap the waist and measure it's really 36" because of elastic. Amazon is very good about returns if they don't fit. Have fun.

6'2 185lbs, these fit right in all the right places. Finally having to start replacing pairs of 5.11 Stryke pants that I bought 3+ years ago. Great pants, can't say enough good about them!

Best $80 I've ever spent

I'll preface by saying I'm 6 foot 3 inches, 185 pounds. I purchased these pants in 32Wx34L.After buying a different pair of "tactical" pants at half the price and returning them because the manufacturer apparently considers "tactical" and "cheap, crinkly ski pants" as synonymous, I had a friend recommend the 5.11 brand for their high-quality products.As someone who usually buys my clothing from Costco, spending $80 on a pair of pants was a bit of a stretch for me. But I decided to bite the bullet and boy am I glad I did...These pants fit better than anything I've ever purchased before and are incredibly comfortable. I originally bought them just to wear when I head out to my favorite shooting spot, but I've found myself wearing them on a regular basis including to work.After just a couple weeks of wearing these, I went and bought another pair. In fact, I'll probably be buying another one or two pairs as well. I can see these replacing my entire wardrobe eventally.Yeah these pants are expensive. But you damn well bet they're worth every penny.
