I grabbed the Amazon Basics Thermal Laminator on a whim because it was only around $25 and I needed something simple and reliable for my daughter’s homeschooling activities. I’m a full-time caregiver and homeschooling mom, so keeping things budget-friendly is really important to me, but I also can’t afford to keep buying things that don’t work well. This was such a pleasant surprise.First of all, it’s compact and lightweight, which I appreciate because I don’t have a ton of space. It’s easy to store on a bookshelf or in a drawer and isn’t bulky or ugly. I can take it out when I need it and put it away just as quickly.The laminator heats up in about 3–5 minutes, which is totally reasonable for my needs. There’s a simple switch for 3 mil or 5 mil settings depending on what kind of pouches you’re using, and it even comes with a jam release lever which I haven’t needed yet — but I love knowing it’s there just in case.I’ve used it to laminate flashcards, tracing sheets, visual schedules, behavior charts, craft templates, chore checklists, and even Bluey-inspired pretend play pieces — and everything has come out looking smooth and professional. No bubbling, no curling, no melting disasters. Just crisp, sturdy pages that are now toddler-proof and reusable.I use standard 3 mil laminating pouches (also from Amazon Basics — those are great too!), and I’ve had zero issues feeding them through. I usually laminate one sheet at a time just to keep things easy and prevent jams, but it feels like this little machine could handle more without a problem. The rollers feed smoothly and evenly, and the final product cools pretty quickly so I can start trimming and cutting right away.What really makes this a five-star product for me is how much value I’ve gotten for so little money. I’ve used it at least 30–40 times now and it’s still going strong. For $25, this is easily one of the best purchases I’ve made for our homeschool setup. As a homeschooling parent and crafter I love this thing. It’s easy to use and you can get all the supplies from Amazon. The image stays clear and seals well on the 5m setting for me. I use printer paper and heavy cardstock and that setting does great. The size is really convenient and easy to store, it’s actually the same size as my thermal printer and my vacuum sealer. I think the value for what you spend is well worth it! The result is a reusable and sturdy waterproof paper. Just get it trust me.Just be advised if your wanting to laminate a print then cut file on the cricut machine you will need to cover the registration marks in Matt tape or you could tape previous registration marks from another project onto the laminated surface. I learned the hard way the cricut does not like shiney

I needed a laminater and I needed it quickly. I got this delivered just a few short hours later! That was incredible for me! I had some signs that needed laminated and this worked perfectly and was so easy to learn with the directions that were included. The process was easy and fast. It worked very well and I’m so happy to be a a new owner of this fantastic machine. I justlaminated regular printer paper but it says it will handle cardstock so I just tested it out and wow it’s was also perfect! I don’t think you need to spend a fortune when this works so well. I purchased the recommendedlaminated plastic and it’s great as well

I ordered this laminator because I’d always wanted one for personal use, and now that I’m a teacher, I’ve found it useful professionally as well. It arrived securely packaged with no damage, and the build quality feels solid compared to similar models. It takes up about the same amount of space as other laminators I’ve used. I haven’t experienced any jams so far, but it does include a reverse function just in case. The heating time is reasonable - it’s on par with the more expensive laminator I use at work - though this one does need to rewarm between laminations. Overall, it’s absolutely worth the price, and I’d gladly buy another if anything ever happened to it.

Love it. I plugged it in to warm up. I put my Typed notes in the 1 of 2 laminated pouches that's included. The Green light came on, I placed sheet in Product and out came my laminated notes. I NEED 100 SHEETS ORDERED.

I broke my other laminator, which was a scotch brand (something got jammed, and i broke it trying to get the piece out). Works as expected, nice and compact. I've laminated a lot of stuff in it, still works great.

My first laminator. I am pretty happy with it! Does the job. After 1 or 2 pouches, it needs a few seconds to reheat but no problem. For the price, it is totally worth it.
