Best full foot fin I've tried
Without a doubt best full foot dive fins I've used and have been snorkeling since I was a kid. I gave up on composite fins two decades ago because they could never get the stiffness right. Always felt like having wooden paddles strapped on your feet. Way too much stiffness and would hurt your ankles knees, and feet. Things have come a long way. These are as virtually as comfortable as old school all rubber fins but have way more power. I do river snorkelling in fast current and need to be able to strike targets quickly before the current pulls me by. Most all rubber full foot fins, although the ultimate comfort, dont provide enough sudden thrust because the blades are too short and have too much flex. These are perfect. The design allows a lot of power but it all translates to propulsion not putting strain on your joints. Just did a late season run in water temps of low sixties. Fin blades were not too stiff even in colder water. I am a size 10 shoe and ordered the US 8-9 size fins. Perfect fit without any neoprene or Lycra socks. Snug but not too snug anywhere. Order one size down if you plan to wear bare feet. They are secure even under hard kicking and after 3 hours in the river no blisters anywhere or foot cramping. Absolutely none. They were surprisingly warm even bare feet except around my ankles that were exposed. I normally wear booties with open heel rocket fins. So how do these rate to the classic US drivers rocket fins with 3 mm booties you may wonder. I think close enough that in warm water I'd wear these and cooler water opt for the Rocket fins. If I know I will be working rapids and having to plant my feet alot then the Rocket fins have the edge. If I know I won't have extra room to carry my Crocs for walking after getting out of the river then rocket fins are better since I can wear my booties. Rocket fins also have straps to carry on my bike handlebars easier. Overall rocket fins have slightly more power also with very low joint fatigue due to the large vents. These Mare fins have a couple of small vents which help. Full foot fins tend to last longer too. Rocket fins always eventually tear at the top of the foot pocket. One last thing, these didn't get anything sand or gravel in them. I didn't need to stop once to pull and shake out the fins in over 3 hours. For a full foot fin without socks to protect the feet this is fantastic. After a 50 plus year history, Rocket fins are still king of dive fins but these are a close second and best of full foot fins.

Fantastic fins for both warm water diving and for snorkeling.
I bought this pair for my husband since I like the Volo fins so much myself. I have both the adjustable (used with dive booties) and the Full Foot Volo Race Fins and I love them. They are lightweight and easy to kick while also providing a lot of thrust. They have made a big difference in reducing leg and knee strain, plus making it easy to get through moderate currents. My husband used these on our recent trip to Thailand, both for diving and snorkeling. He was very impressed and likes them so much better than our old, heavy fins. They are great to use as travel fins since they are so much lighter than most. Highly recommend!

White not Light blue aka "Blue Frog"
Finally, a fin that is super comfy for snorkeling......and actually works for scuba diving as well with plenty of power but not stiff. It is black with White inlays....nothing blue about blue frog

Awesome, lightweight fins
I am so glad I spent a little more money than I wanted to on a new pair of snorkel fins! I live on Maui, and desperately needed to upgrade my short, heavy snorkel fins with an adjustable heel strap. These Mares fins are awesome! I have used them roughly 10 times in the past month, and am so happy with my purchase. I started getting knee pain all of a sudden while using my old fins, so far my knees love these fins (knock-on-wood). I wear a women's shoe size 7 or 7.5, and the size 5-6 in these fins is perfect. I wear a thin water bootie also, but the fins would fit my foot without the bootie on too. I love how lightweight they are too, so glad I trusted many other rave reviews for these fabulous fins!

Best Fins
These are the best fins I've ever used, sleek, fast and most important when I'm diving I always dreaded end of dive when i had to take my fins off before getting back on boat. These are so easy on and off I just love them. They are gre3for snorkeling too.

The best fins
I am an open water certified scuba diver but I bought these closed heel fins for tropical snorkeling. They are big but are surprisingly light weigh and easy to pack. They do run large so you might want to really scale down. Perhaps it's to allow a thin dive sock? Anyway they are so comfortable my feet. I have some bunions and such and have pain with ski boots and hiking boots that I simply tolerate, but zero pain wearing these fins for long snorkels for an hour or more. I mean zero. The move water well with no strain on my knees, another of my achy spots. Besides all that, they look really cool. I highly recommend these fins.
