Really useful and robust
Well, it didn't look much when it arrived, but it's actually very good. I have a number of computer books which are 600+ pages long, and this holds them perfectly and is nice and sturdy. You can adjust the angle too, and the design does not damage the book. An excellent purchase.

Flimsy, but very good.
Good:It folds up very nicely.Has quite a wide set of viewing anglesEasy to setup and take downThe page holding pegs are a nice touch.Very light.Bad:Flimsy – being made out of plastic rather than metal means that it can’t really take a battering. The back in particular looks quite vulnerable to being snapped. I’d hoped to be able to just throw it in a bag and cart it around, but I think I’m going to have to be a bit more careful.Overall:It’s really good – I’ve never tried using one of these before, but this appears to be doing the job

Its Beauty is in its Functionality
Might not be a thing of beauty but it is a thing that is very useful. I bought it for use at home. I have bought other book holders but sadly they never held a really large book well and I have a lot of very large books but these days are too heavy for me to hold and I do not like reading with a book flat on lap or table and me bending over it.This has held every book I have put in it well and no overbalancing. The only slightly negative thing about it is the fact the parts that hold the book open do not slide so are not adjustable. The still hold the pages open on a book but the page is curved a bit so have to hold it with a finger so can read it easily but that is only at the start of a book, once more pages are read it is fine. Similar problem as you near the end but again it does still hold even the largest book open at your page and no slipping off the page.It is very light and folds up well so could easily be carried around in say a laptop bag along with laptop without either being harmed. So perfect if you want a book holder that holds lots of different sized books that cannot be kept in one place.

Compact, does the job, excellent aid
My colleagues have commented on what a neat piece of equipment this is and I agree, it folds away easily to slide down the side of my monitor and although lightweight, it has no trouble supporting a heavy lever-arch file or large number of individual sheets. It can be adjusted to a number of angles, as required. Since starting to use it, I no longer experience neck pain whilst working and am really impressed to have such an excellent aid for an affordable price. Highly recommend.

Fellowes Office Suites Desktop Copyholder
This is a relatively sturdy and well-made product, and certainly looks smart. However I'm disappointed that the slide bar doesn't actually slide very easily at all. Rather defeats the purpose as apart from propping the paper up, which is the main function, the second most important feature is the ability to move the slide bar to help you keep track of where you are in the text! It might ease a little over time, but I doubt it.

Cheap but does the job well.
First Impressions: This is cheap. There is flex in it, and the plastic seems brittle so that if you pull and bend it a lot I imagine it could snap. However holding a book in a single position it should do well. It is cheap, so you can't expect metal parts. The angle it holds at is 45degree to 60 degree. It's not very upright, but then for a desk holder you do want some angle on it. I'm using it to hold physics books for studying, but I imagine it will hold single sheets and thinner books also.If this was used in an office environment I'm not sure it would last long but as a home user it will be fine for me. Folds flat for easy storage/transportation.

Handy book holder for storing on the shelf
Nice simple unit made of lightweight but seemingly tough plastic - a good companion to slip into a bag. If the plastic was even a fraction of a millimetre thinner then it would probably be too weak so it is right on the limit but generally works well. I think the best aspect is that it folds up really flat and so can be stored on the shelf sandwiched between some books taking up minimal room. Only two minor issues so far: it really is lightweight so with heavier books you do have to make sure they are sat in the middle to balance; the little fingers that pop up to hold the pages open don't have anything to stop them opening further than vertical so a particularly strong book can push them open.

Changed the way I consume technical books... seriously!
It's hard to imagine such a simple piece of plastic could turn out to be so useful, but it really has. I regularly read large technical books as part of my coding work, which often require alternating between flicking through pages, and typing into a keyboard. The 'context switching' of doing both is surprisingly difficult. Often, I'll start typing something, and then the book will slam shut 300 pages in. Technical books weren't designed to be portable! This is a very simple solution. Rather than looking down at a book, I can stare straight ahead and keep my place. The clips at the bottom hold the page straight, and are thin enough not to get in the way. This has made dealing with textbooks SO much easier. It's sturdy and well-built, too - doesn't feel like it'll fall apart anytime soon.
