Perfect pump ever
I’ve been using the Spectra breast pump for a while now, and I’m really happy with it. The quality feels excellent—sturdy and well-built—and it’s surprisingly quiet compared to other pumps I’ve tried. The adjustable suction and cycle settings make pumping comfortable and efficient, which is a huge plus. I’ve noticed a good milk flow, and the closed system keeps everything hygienic and easy to clean. Considering the price, it’s great value for what you get. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality breast pump.

Best breast pump out there
In total I have breastfed for 5.5 years (different children.. my own ofcourse!) and I have always struggled with pumping. I have tried most pumps on the market. Both my sons were in neonatal so I have tried the hospital pumps too. It was always a struggle to get any milk out. The pumps were never comfortable, they hurt and it would be so disheartening to see nothing but a dribble come out. That is until I tried the Spectra. This one was the first one I felt comfortable when I was using it. It didn’t pinch or pull and I was actually stimulated and let milk down. I struggle with milk supply and this was a great tool to help me increase it in between feeds. There are a variety of settings to suit you, more than any other pump I’ve tried. This really helps to stimulate your milk. I’ve found a double pump is so much better as you’re not missing any let down. You can get different flanges which is really helpful to get the right fit. You can also buy extra parts to make Medela parts fit.But I was content using the Spectra set up alone. It comes with 2 bottles so I would pump into these and transfer the milk into other bottles/bags when I was done.It is easy to set up, you connect the tubes to the flanges and to the pump and you’re all set.I never had any trouble with milk going into the tubes, so washing was always a breeze. It’s very easy to clean. If you can pick up some spare bottles that would be helpful so you don’t have to constantly wash the same 2.The pump is still going strong today. It has lasted me for the last 4 years and helped me with two different breastfeeding journeys. When my second son was on neonatal I actually took this in rather than using their pump as this worked so much better. An added bonus was the noise was soothing for the babies as well. They got so used to it it was like white noise for them. If you are pumping at night there is a handy little light which isn’t bright enough to disturb anybody. There is also a space at the back of the pump to hold a bottle of milk.I would definitely recommend this pump if you’re having trouble with milk supply or you want a more efficient way of pumping. It is great value for money, it’s well made and it lasts.

Excellent pump, good battery life, charges fast, very effective.
This pump has been a game changer for home use. I was using momcozy wearable prior to this and although they were OK they are not really the best for constant use if exclusively pumping. The spectra is brilliant, excellent battery life compared to wearable lasting twice as long, 2-3 days of pumping 7 times a day for 20-30 minutes currently. Charges quickly within a few hours. It is possible to take it on the move eg use in the car (stationary) but it is quite large to move around the house. Definitely getting better volumes and improved supply since switching to this. The light is a nice touch. Good range of cycle speeds and vacuum levels so you can tailor to your needs fully. Recommended.

Nice gentle suction. Excellent portability.
Pros:- Pumps well. Comfortable and gentle suction.- Can adjust the suction and speed easily.- Love the portability. It doesn't need to be plugged in, so great for pumping anywhere in the house, in the car, and travelling in general. 1 charge gave me 16 pumping sessions (each session was approx. 20 mins long).- Durable outer shell.Cons:- It's not as powerful as the new Spectra Gold. A pumping session on the Gold takes me 10 minutes, versus 20 minutes on this. When you're exclusively pumping 10+ times a day, that makes a huge difference. But I find the Spectra S1 Plus feels gentler and more comfortable. The Gold is very aggressive and when paired with a poor fitting flange, very painful. So I would still recommend the S1 for beginners and people who want portability.PS. Another reviewer said "The white silicon back flow protector starts touching the plastic and loses suction in the flange. its happened twice in a week and I have had to replace the parts." User error. This is how the backflow protectors are supposed to work. They stop milk from going inside the tubing and then the motor (this would harm the pump). So the silicone backflow protector blocks the path and collects the milk instead. You're supposed to wash and (thoroughly!) dry these parts and then put them back on. The suction will be fine after. No need to rebuy.
