I can't sync the previous second tag (black) to another station (first)?

I had to buy a replacement tag from Girafus, after many attempts I could never get it to sync up. I finally tossed all of it into the trash. Thankfully TabCat came out with a newer version, bought that, again, I do like this product.

Does it need a sim card on it to work?

No SIM card needed. Before my cats all moved inside I just needed to change the batteries every 60 to 90 days.

The original tag was lost & can't sync replacement because I can't deactivate a lost tag. What do I do?

You dont need to deactivate the lost one.Just resyncronize a new tag with the basis station.You can find the tutorial video on internet .Unfortunately we cannot share external link here.
