Does anyone use these for BJJ? Any complaints from training partners?

What is the smallest head circumference this is recommended for? My son is right at 21 inches so trying to decided on youth size or this one.

My son has a normal to large head. I measured it today at 23 3/4". Given the amount of velcro on the straps, 21" would fit. It's just a matter of adjusting all the straps to get the best fit. I looked everywhere and couldn't find a sizing guide for their headgear, but here's the one for every other thing they make http://www.cliffkeen.com/Catalog/Global.aspx?PageID=SizingInformation I'd call them direct for more info 1-800-992-0799. Do these have plastic on the outside of them or they all foam? Our team requires no plastic but looking for the best fit. Thanks

What covers the ears are foam.... The only "plastic" is the clear cups on the sides. My boys love theirs! Easy to fit, stays secure and the can still hear their coaches.

Is this machine washable?

Good morning, It is recommended to use Clorox wipes to clean your headgear. The straps could probably go in the washing machine, but it is not necessary. Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!

Very comfortable ear guard.

I always hated sparring with ear guards but after my first cauliflower ear at 44 and multiple attempts to drain it, I knew I had to look for one. My old one was never comfortable and you couldn’t hear a thing. This one is totally different. You can hear and it doesn’t get too hot thanks to the ventilation slots. Sits very comfortably and gives you plenty of protection. Definitely worth a try.

Protected my cauliflower ear perfectly, these are vented as well to reduce sweating which also help with hearing quality as well

Comfortable for girlies but I guess men too.

A bit bulky for your partner but the most comfortable headgear I've ever tried. Lasts a while as well, despite soft surfaces... being soft. My third one in four years.
