Microphone is hands down one of the best mics for the price that I've seen
I love the sound quality for the price the microphone comes in at, it's a beast of a microphone, and it lets you choose which type of audio interface you're going to use, between USB C and XLR, very versatile! It was pretty easy to set up with the USB C cable and didn't require additional hardware other than a stand for it, which I would very much recommend that you get one with it. With a stand included, it's still less than other high end XLR/USB microphones, and the quality is there. It's really good, and a much needed upgrade over my Rode NT-USB which is also an amazing microphone.I'd recommend this mic to all my friends if I'm being real with you, it's that good for the price. Love it.

Solid mic for building up experience
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This mic comes highly recommended and touts extensive upgrades and audio features for the casual to serious narrator/voice over actor.I personally bought it for the latency and noise floor value. Since using it for an 8-hour finished project, I've noticed that it is a rather sensitive mic that does require some serious finessing in order to get the sound just right. I had to use some plug-ins to clean up the sound a bit. That being said, I later found out that the Rode customer service is top-notch and more than ready to suggest an assortment of different solutions for mastering the sound quality. For a beginner/intermediate narrator who's learning the ropes and needs a good practice mic with solid audio capabilities, the A1 is a solid choice if a more expensive shotgun studio mic is just not yet in the budget.

Rode NT1 (5th gen) is versatile, phenomenal. Parkdeals reliably delivered.
The reputation of this mic's line is already legendary...and well deserved. It comes excellently packaged from the manufacturer. The external shipping packaging was designed to protect it well and minimize shock to the mic, which I really appreciate. When I ordered it, the length of time for receipt was longer than I had hoped for because I was anxious to get it, and I was concerned about that, but it did arrive two days EARLIER that promised, which I was happy to see. If it had been shipped closer to the order date, I would have been ecstatic, but the monitoring software indicated it didn't go out for days...if I hadn't been antsy, this would probably not have bothered me at all...I still received it before it was promised. So I'd be inclined to order from these folks again. The mic is absolutely impressive. Sensitive to all the right sounds without excessive noise floor. Recording quality is phenomenal...unbelievable. It is insanely easy to use with a 32-bit float supporting software through a USBc cable (provided). It also comes with an XLR cable for folks with more professional equipment. Remember to download the ASIO plug in from rode.com. It is attractive, looks like it belongs in the studio, and fits precisely into the Rode boom (a separate purchase) which is solid and strong enough to support it properly and silently in any position I'd need. The mic also comes with a dust cover so I can protect it when not in use, an added touch that those making every attempt to take care of their recording equipment value. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase Rode products from this merchant again!

Flawless Quality – RØDE Never Disappoints!
This was definitely the best purchase I could’ve made for my recording setup. I’m completely in love with RØDE.The build quality, sound clarity, and overall attention to detail are next level. The mic delivers crisp, clean audio, and it pairs perfectly with my Audient iD14 MKII. Everything in the box was well-packaged, protected, and high quality. From the shock mount to the pop filter. No damage, no fuss, just professional-grade gear right out of the box. Massive kudos to RØDE for delivering such a polished product.Highly recommended!

Reason this unit has such positive feedback, great value
High quality with excellent craftsmanship and pleasant audio tone. Many other reviewers already covered the technical specs. Price is good for a unit of this uniformly excepted capability. Background noise falls off sharply which can be forgiving from a studio design aspect. Movement must be isolated. Make sure to use a good mount and do not move during use.

Pleasantly surprised, even shocked!
I received the mic safe and sound with no issues. Once I received it, I had a relatively low expectation given the culture of "you get what you pay for" when buying products. I plugged it in and started working with levels, then began working on voiceovers, audiobooks, and other projects. For comparison, I recorded the same content using a TLM 193, TLM 103, Warm WA-87, several Lewitt microphones, Audio-Technica microphones, and an AKG C414 XLII. I was utterly shocked by the clarity, cleanness, warmth, and response of the Rode NT1 5th Gen.To be fair, I have yet to try a recent U87, but I didn't find that mic to be suitable for my voice when I tested one years ago. I usually don't agree with the pundits on YouTube, but their testing is legitimate. I don't understand how a mic as light as a water bottle and highly sensitive can sound so good.A few things that can be improved:- The pop filter can certainly use a makeover. It works for simple speech, but can poke through plosives and sibilants.- Would be nice to have a hi-pass filter built in.Other than that, it's truly amazing!
