Neoprene Double Pull Lumbar Brace - Large

Due my back pain I had to resort to using one of these. I was skeptical at first but as soon as I put it on I felt it was giving me good lumbar support and compression. I've noticed my posture improve and the back pain is decreased at the end of my working day

If I take care of my back I have no trouble but I need some support if I am going to be lifting stuff. I need something to just hold the lower back, muscles and structure correctly in place. I have been using a simple neoprene wrap round support but this is worn and needed replacing. This new belt does the same but is better. It is in two parts - a wide neoprene partially elasticated wrap round. That is nice and wide and also has some useful vertical 'whale bones' either side of the spine. My waist diameter at top of pelvic bone is 36" the belt (marked large) is 42" long and needs to overlap at ends to fasten by means of its continuous Velcro type facings. Belt is 9" wide and thus covers a good depth of the lumbar region. There is also a stronger elasticated overlay belt which separately pulls to your own tensioning and secures to the same large Velcro facings of the underlying belt. There is therefore a large range of fit and tension that you can adjust to suit needs. This works very well for me. The whole thing is not cumbersome and it is quite light and sufficiently flexible to make it comfortable to wear and work in. Obviously not as comfortable and flexible as having a sound back and not having to wear a belt at all! I find it easy to put on and wear and I have not had any back problem since. Very good value and a well made basic support belt for everyday relatively light uses. I do not have any major back problem such as slipped disk - this belt may be inadequate for that or for more significant such back problems.

I order 3 of these for my physio clinic in XL, L and M and received 2 x XL and another size which when measured was neither M or L and was different to the size stated on the webpage. None of them were size labelled so I had to measure them and work it out myself! I did keep the products because they were OK and I will use them for clients.

Yesterday, I was virtually paralyzed, I spent the whole day in bed unable to turn or sit up. Ive had problems with my lower back for a few years brought on mainly by many hours sat at the pc with poor posture I think... for a week or so my back has been twinging and i have struggled to bend to put my shoes on, but yesterday morning I made a sudden movement and my back just went and i fell to my knees in pain.I managed to crawl into bed, where I spent the next 24 hours. Whilst in bed I ordered this back brace and it arrived this morning. Within minutes of putting it on I could walk around and go up and down the stairs. Its bordering on miraculous! It makes me feel quite emotional...A note about the size: I wear 32 in trousers/jeans and after reading the advice in the reviews I ordered a large brace. i have it on now and it just about fits, it is on the verge of being too big. It performs its function very well, but possibly a medium would have been better. The one I am wearing (large) has a large area of velcro, so it can be adjusted to fit a range of sizes, but like I said, if you have a 32 in waist, this is just on the verge of being too big.

I purchased this product because I regularly suffer with back pain caused by my job being pretty physical.I had been told about these braces but did not want to break the bank purchasing one of the top-end products only to find that it did not work for me so opted for this one.Once you get used to having it strapped to you, it definitely does offer some support and also relieve some of the strain on your lower back.The velcro can be a bit of a pain though as sometimes comes loose when under strain and can then get caught on clothing etc.I would also advise purchasing one size higher that you need, I used the size guide and found that my waist was in the middle for the Large size category, however, this brace only just fits around me when fully stretched...I know it has to be tight when worn, but this is only held by half an inch of velcro when worn by me...this is the only reason that I have not given this product full marks.I think that what it gives in comparison to its price makes it well worth the investment.

Having had problems with my back on and off over a number of years, this time when it 'went' no pills, lotions or heat pads could get it back functioning again so I thought I'd give a lumbar brace a go. Reading the reviews for this one I was hopeful it would do the job and so far, it has. I have a 32" waist but read that the sizes were coming up tight for some people so went for the large one just in case, but I'm sure a medium would be plenty big enough for others with the same waist size. The brace is holding my back in what feels like the position it should be, and not my usual slouch, especially when sat at a PC. It has also helped to reduce any twisting that I would usually do, enabling the lower back to heal quicker, I believe. The quality of the brace construction is excellent and unbelievable value for money.
