With being 66 years old, my skin has gotten thin to where I bruise and bleed easily. It doesn’t take much to cut my skin! I heard about gardening sleeves, so thought I’d try them. Used them for the first time this morning, and I am extremely pleased. They not only protect against sun damage, but protected me from bruising and wounding as I had vines and branches to trim and carry to the trash bin. Not a single tear or bruise on my hands or arms! I was also pleased that they did not make my arms hot. They fit well and were comfortable, staying up well and not slipping on my arms. I got the small size and found they worked. I do like the brilliantly colored pattern of jungle leaves. I’m waiting for the time that I’m out hiking to see if someone on the trail who doesn’t know me mistakes for tattoos! I highly recommend these if you are wanting protection for your arms when out in the sun or in the garden.

I didn't even know a product like these sleeve protectors even existing until I seen the ad come up while playing an on-line game. They peaked my attention as I work a lot in my backyard pruning roses and such. I ordered a pair and they arrived early, so I tried them out right away. Wow, I love love them. You're not even aware you have them on. The "Farmers Defense" sleeves are made with quality materials - they fit good, stay in place and are stylist. Not one thorn from the rose brushes pricked through the sleeves and no more irritating itching or arm scratches. This was surprising the best buy I've made in very long time. If you are thinking about buying some, go for it. You won't by sorry.

Item purchased to help protect my arms from UV damage, limit abrasions, and to cut down on irritation. All three expectations were met. A nice side benefit was the cooling effect with just a slight breeze.I used the size chart provided in the description and ordered the recommended size. The sleeve length for me was slightly longer than needed but still a good fit for me!I have used sleeves for three straight days and roughly 7 hours each day, no sunburn, no skin irritation and stayed relatively cool (one day it was 91 degrees F).The lower part of the sleeve has thumb holes to protect the back of the hand. I used leather gloves which works better for me due to the heavier work performed. The upper part of the sleeve has finish to hold the sleeve in place. It does a very good job staying in place but sometimes it will pinch the skin. Nothing serious but I did notice this on several o assigns.Overall a good product that performs as advertised. One star downgrade because of pinching.I would recommend this product.

These sleeves did not make me hot. They protected my arms while pruning a thorny shrub. They stayed up while I was working and I didn't get sunburned. I also used them to pick beets and they protected me from itchy grass. I'm looking forward to trying them out while I pick okra later on this summer. I highly recommend. I wish I had these years ago. They are also really pretty and well made. They aren't very thick but they don't need to be because they work great.

I love these for gardening. So nice when trimming rose bushes and trying to protect my arms from the sun. They are also the right weight as to not be too hot in the summer, which is a great bonus. Would recommend to others. Would suggest measuring your arms to make sure they are the correct size. These are not one size fits all. The elastic at the top will be too tight if you size down.

I took off a star because I still get poked by thorns. I love how comfortable they are! They fit my fleshy arms. They are cute and protect my skin. I had an allergic reaction after trimming black berry vines. These take care of that problem! I threw them in the wash and they came out good as new!
