Upper end costume quality when talking material and workmanship. I'm 5'10" and 180lbs. Wear a 42R or 44R depending on the cut and style of the coat. Bought an XL and it fell between these sizes and fit great. Purchased the black and it's really deep and rich looking. The gold jacquard and embroidery sets it apart from anyone else in the room.I paired it with a a pair of Vatpave embroidered pants and black knee boots. Threw in a black jabot shirt and voila', a victorian vampire. Added red lens glasses and a black top hat. Will look perfect for the Halloween vampire history lecture at our local museum. To sum it up....the look is spot on and fun.Sleeves are a bit on the long side so keep in mind when ordering. This is my 2nd tailcoat and plans are for more. Hope you have fun with it.

Well constructed, sized as marked, I did return it because I happen to have tilted hips and it made the detailing in the back look strange. Not the fault of the coat. Really liked the cut in the front. The front panel has a v shape that is much more flattering than many built in vest panels.

This is a very rich looking well-made item. My husband looked fantastic in it! Highly recommend. I bought him the breeches and a beautiful gold crown. He looked royal!

I was pleasantly surprised how much I like this coat. It is obviously a costume piece, so I don't have to worry about how rating it like a suit. That said, it looks good on and fits okay (see below). With the right shirt and trousers it will be the perfect outfit for my Mardi Gras party.Size: I always wish people would put this detail in their reviews, so I am doing it. I am 6' tall, 160#, 32" waist and normally wear a 38L slim jacket. I ordered a medium. The waist is too big and could easily accommodate a 34" or more waist or a small beer belly. The sleeves are too short for my 34" sleeve length, but the frilly pirate shirt I'm wearing with it will fix the appearance.Overall, I am pleased with this item. I do wish it hadn't been folded so tightly for shipping and I'm struggling to get the creases out of it. It will make a great costume piece.

Men or women can wear. I bought this for Halloween to become George Washington and I have cosplayed our first president several times since. This jacket could be used for vampires, pirates, or anyone wanting that Victorian age look. Don’t forget to add the puffy white shirt. 10 out of 10 would recommend would buy again. Taxation is theft

i ordered the xxl even tho i usually wear xl, but xxl fits musch better

This coat was really awesome and comfortable to wear but I really gotta give props to these folks because I wore it to a company Halloween party and drank just... way too much. There was so much vomit on this coat and I didn't even clean it until a few days later. Came out spotless and not stained at all.
