amazing whites alternative
I’ve been using The Laundress Whites Detergent for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with the results. It’s effective at keeping my white clothes looking bright and fresh without the need for harsh chemicals. The detergent has a clean, subtle scent that’s not overpowering, and it works well at removing stains while being gentle on fabrics. I’ve noticed that my whites stay crisper for longer, and I haven’t had any issues with fading or wear. It’s a little more expensive than regular detergents, but for the quality, it’s definitely worth the extra cost. Overall, I’d highly recommend The Laundress Whites Detergent if you want to keep your whites looking their best without compromising on quality or safety.

Product is good. Scent is not my favorite.
My five star review is for the product itself but not so much for scent. The product does in fact leave a long lasting scent. I used both the detergent and conditioner/ softener and I definitely notice my blankets are nice and soft as well as them having a very strong scent. I got the classic scent however I’m not a fan of the scent itself. It smells a lot like an incense shop which I personally don’t like. I’ll be purchasing from the brand again, however I’ll be picking a different scent.

I Love This Product
This laundry detergent works great and smells fantastic! Who knew that doing laundry could be so much fun? I unequivocally recommend it for your clothes, too.

Just why change the scent?
It’s not the same. Not only did they change the formula, but the scent is different, not in a good way either. I have used The Laundress since they used to allow you to ship your laundry to them. It’s the scent that my children have grown up with. I never cared about the price, it was the value of clean clothes, products that were made for my delicate fabrics, and a scent that was very pleasant but not overwhelming. Just put us in a sublime mood. While the Company was reformulating all of the products and a lot have yet to return on the market, I began making my own detergent. It’s a lot of work. I am sad and I guess disappointed that they didn’t make the scent the same, or did not realize that the “New” detergent smells muted and off.I think I will be staying with the replacement of a really thin white bottle with a little pink lid for my silks, wool, and cashmere. While I salve over the stove and oven to continue to make my own detergent for the price of $0.75 per pound.

Worth the $$ for fine washables & smells divine!
I have been using the full line of Laundress products for a couple years. Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s super-concentrated & will make your favorite clothes last longer. Totally worth it when used exactly as directed.

Luxury prices for a lack of luxury after coming back from a recall.
I loved this product before the recall. I feel that I need to finally stop paying top dollar for it as I wait for it to come back to life because it's lost about half it's fragrance, there's absolutely no remaining scent after the wash so my closet and drawers don't have that amazing smell I lived so so much, and no more compliments throughout the day which used to happen all day wherever I'd go.Plus, I have been waiting for my favorite (and so many others people's favorite) scent "No. 10" that has such a beautiful, but not too feminine scent that sticks to every singke fiber of your clothes for a long long time, and to snuggle into freshly washed sheets and duvet/blankets is like heaven. There's no longevity at all now and I can't even smell it while it's washing or drying. They don't offer dryer sheets to complete the scent of the detergent. That has always bothered me, so before I was getting "Bounce free and clear" dryer sheets which really fluffed everything up very nicely, and left each room smelling amazing. But the whitening product has changed from powder to liquid and it isn't half as good at brightening whites as the powder which worked so well giving very dingy old clothes a new lease on life. Not anymore. I wonder if the difference is the use of borax? I think thar was an ingredient in the powder but isn't in the liquid.I still have a spot stain removal bar (it started out tiny and it's 2/3's gone now) which I keep for intimate and small stains that has borax in it and it's a beast! But they recalled literally everything. I don't know what kind of problem there could be for them to remove every single product they offered. Like powder and bar soap like that. But I'm not privy to why it happened, it just seems like every time I find something I REALLY love and plan to stick with, it disappears or changes for whatever reason. It's very disappointing. As far as cost goes, the value of putting twice as much money into a product than leading brands, while waiting for "No. 10" and hoping they fix their formula, that is way too expensive for me. I can't afford to buy products that I'm not thoroughly happy with at designer prices and to me with my small budget, this is a luxury, and sadly I won't be buying more.I have struggled to find another highly scented detergent that I like so I'm also sinking more money into that. I wish I knew which one is comparable to the former formula that Laundress was using that is nearly as good. My whites are dingy again with the new recipe and I'm paying a lot for the past success of this product that's nowhere near the sameI'm also disappointed in the lack of brightness and stain removal. It just doesn't work like it did

Really seems to work well!
Initially the smell was very chemical and awful smelling as I was pulling the clothes out of the washer. However, once clothes were dried I find it. It smells wonderful and continues to while wearing.
