Having a high-end animal.clipper for dogs and horses, it's much quieter than most, and allows you to interchange blades easily. This blade works great!My Dog is an IrishDoodle, literally five different kinds of hair. It doesn't jam, glides through the hair nicely, and once cut with the hair direction, can cut about 1/4" to 3/8" shorter, smoothly.I know most say to wash your dog first, after brushing my dog first, I am even able to cut him without issues.Out of 5 blades purchased, only Andis works, and this one works best out of the 2 Andis blades.This is a winner for mixed (curly/straight) hair.

I looker forever for this. I am a retired hairdresser and nobody sells these anymore. They are the best blades, durable, easy to use, the cost is in line with beauty supply or barber supplies. I have used the item since 1984, there are none better.

This Andis Ultraedge size 3 3/4 carbon-edged blade Leaves hair 1/2". Yes, I use it on my husband, and it is awesome. I have no idea why anyone would worry about using it on people if they will use it on their pets, but it is great. Makes cutting his hair so much faster.The blade does a lovely cut, no split ends, and it does an excellent job of keeping the hair length even. He likes a kind of "undercut" but not one that is so close the head, so this half-inch distance is perfect. Because it is so easy to use, I can do a five minute touch up any time he wants, instead of cutting it shorter than he wants so it lasts longer, because it takes so long to do it all with scissors.Easy to control, does require working in different directions (moving up the side, moving across) in order to catch all the hairs, and that takes just a bit of practice, but it is easier than I expected. The blade is shaped to be comfortable even used against the skull (rather than the soft parts of a dog).I've tried various plastic clip on trimmer combs, and they are pretty much useless. This works entirely differently than those.Worth it for making it easier to give my husband a trim. Time saved also makes it worth every penny.

Steel blade, not ceramic as I had thought. However it is sharp and working well so far. Though, I’ve only used it a few times. O

Great blade, it’s hard to find one that is actually sharp and good quality.. this is both! I’ll only be ordering this one from now on. I have a Labradoodle with medium tightness curls.
