Brilliant feeder!
I use it for two house rabbits - excellent feeder. The minimum setting gives a generous portion for 2 bunnies (if you have only 1 bunny, it would be too much food). App works great and I've tested it profusely. I combine it with a smart camera to make sure both of the rabbits are eating the food. Great product! I hope the next generation comes with its own camera and motion sensor.

The hardware is great, the Alexa skill sucks
I've only just set this up, and boy the Alexa skill is as dumb as a box of frogs. The first thing that hits you is that when you say "Alexa, open petkit" it announces itself as Pete Kit! You ask for help and it only tells you one command that you can use - 'Snack feeding immediately', so you try that - "I don't know what you want me to do, say 'help' for help"I've had to revise my rating downwards by 2 stars - it keeps losing the wifi signal and now won't reconnect. I'm going to try putting it closer to the router, but I'm not holding out much hope.Revised the rating upwards again, after a successful firmware update (at least I think that was it) it's working well. The Alexa skill doesn't seem to have improved all that much so far.

Really satisfied with this. Works as advertised
I have this product for more than a month and I can say that I'm happy with it. Feeding plan just works and you can use the app to control the portions as well as remote control the feeder. It's really useful for us since we are not at home for most part of the day. Also, whenever I wanted to ask the PETKIT team something they prompty reply.

Don't buy it
Do not buy this.1. It came with a European two pin plug not a UK three pin plug. Nothing in the description mentions this.2. It is incompatible with 5G networks. Also not mentioned in the description. Why sell a product over 5 years out of date?3. I couldn't get it to even work in the end, after 100s of attempts, the WiFi relay would not work.Useless.

Well made but no support and bad programming
First off this feeder seems well manufactured and has some nice features, so far it has not stuck on food. However I bought mine just before the clocks changed, set it up & configured the schedule; it ran fine on Saturday, but come Sunday it didn't adjust from daylight saving to GMT so it kept feeding an hour early, and there obvious way in on the unit to tell it to update the time-zone & the app just keeps telling you the unit is in a different time zone so the feed notifications might be out of kilter but not smart enough to let you tell it to re-sync the unit's time.Attempting to contact support just meets with deadly silence; as some others have commented. So the 'only' option left is to change the schedule - if I'm spending the amount I am on this I shouldn't have to - but needs must, however even there the programming is just not tested; you can't modify the first feed in the schedule - if you try it just changes the one after it and leaves the first one as is, you can't delete the first one either, it just deletes the next one and leaves the first one as is, and when you get to only one left & you delete it it errors and when you go back in it's still there (I don't know if that's always or just when it's got itself in the tardis). So actually the only option is to reset the whole thing - but there's no option to do that either, the only reset is for the wifi so you have to delete it from your phone then unplug it and then take the batteries out to get it to reset which is frankly ridiculous especially as that also means you have to empty it so it can re-calibrate.Then there's getting it going again afterwards! - unlike some I had no issues getting it to connect to my wifi, the first time. After resetting however it just would not connect. I went through several trial and error sequences of pressing buttons etc and did eventually get it to reconnect but I couldn't tell you how.I was so incensed by the bad programming and complete lack of responsibility taken by the seller in after-care I so badly just wanted to send it back for a refund, I was however between a rock and a hard place as we were going away and wouldn't have been able to get an alternative in time, so I ended up keeping it, but my advice, nay plea, would be DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT purely on principal that, now the design is done, the seller nor the manufacturer (if they're not one in the same) is just not interested in customer satisfaction, issues or their bad programming.

Great when it works, unreliable after 2 years
When I first got this a couple years ago, I thought it was the best smart purchase in my home. I could make sure my dog was fed and be notified of it Via the app. However more recently, the feeder often gets jammed with normal circular kibble, meaning my dog doesn’t get fed. If it’s connected to wifi then I’ll know about it. However, the other big issue is that it keeps disconnecting from the wifi, won’t reconnect itself and so the app doesn’t know the feeders activity. When I do a full reset of the feeder, it stays connected for about two days then it’s gone again.

No feeding in the PM
I bought this machine in 2018 and used it, along with a large water dispenser, several times to cover holiday feeding of two cats, and it worked fine. Subsequently, it was not used for 18mths during the Covid period - batteries were taken out and the machine stored in dry conditions etc.. However, when I tried setting it up again this week I found that all the feeding time slots I entered via the iPhone app were defaulting to AM times, I could not set evening feedings. There's an AM/PM switch in the app which determines if a given time is designated as either AM or PM. This failure may be due to a firmware update which was flagged when I activated the feeder this week. So far no response from PetKit support, I may have to buy another feeder!Next dayProblem solved, support told me to change my app device (iPhone in this case) to the24hr clock mode and this allowed me to set PM feeding times. So all working again.25/11/21About to go away for a few days so time to redeploy this feeder. Everything seemed to be working until I found the door was not closing after a dispensing episode. Looks like food was sticking in the chute thus preventing closure. In this situation presumably the dispenser mechanism continues to dispense according to the schedule, or does the door have to be closed before the machine progresses to the next feeding time. Has anyone else had this problem?
