Walky Guard Adjustable Car Barrier for Pet Automotive Safety

This is a great gate. Very solid construction. Very easy to install. Doesn’t rattle or make other noises. It doesn’t interfere with my son in the back seat. And it prevents my two 65-pound black labs from jumping over into the back seat. I have a 2003 Toyota RAV4 and it works great. I used to have a more traditional gate that mounted on two vertical poles that extend from the floor to the inner roof. The angle of the back seats caused a loss of floor space because the vertical poles were not flush against the back seat. This also created space where my dogs could get trapped between the pole and the back seat. This eliminates that issue. And the box it is packaged in doubles as a nice handy carry storage box when it is not installed in the vehicle. A little pricey for what it is. But it is a brilliant design and great quality. And it is very simple to install/uninstall. So it is well worth it.

I first tried a floor to ceiling barrier that used tension to keep it in place. After using that type of barrier, I decided to try the Walky Guard because: (1) The tension barrier was not good for the headliner in my Honda Pilot; (2) The tension barrier took additional cabin space away from the dogs since it came down to the floor behind the seat; (3) It was time consuming to take down and replace if the SUV was needed for other than hauling the dogs; and, (4) I did not feel it was very sturdy if the dogs pushed on it.Then came the Walky Guard. It was a snap to install. It did not take up floor space from the dogs. It is extremely quiet - no rattling, etc. It is solid and stays in place even if the dogs push on it. If we need the SUV for hauling items, the Walky Guard removes and re-installs quickly. Lastly, since tension is not used to keep it in place, it does not mark up or damage the headliner. Great invention!!!!!

We have a 2008 Honda Fit and it fit's nicely inside of it. Install was easy, i didn't have to flip it around like the other reviewer with the 2012 Fit. I believe that if you have a compact car with adjustable headrests this will work great for you. However, if you have a larger car that seems to be where more of the bad reviews are coming from so it may/may not work for you.I agree with some of the other reviews that more support is needed around the extending arms, especially in larger cars where the arms fully extend. My dog is a 70 pound lab, i don't think he's fitting through the bars, but only time will tell. He can stick just his head around the chair and bottom bar on the side, but so far that is all i have seen him do, we will see if he will try and fully slide through it. Again time will tell. It would have been nice to have a solid slide out bar that goes around all three extenders to support them just in case. Im hoping i don't have to modify it in the future, if i do i will come back here and update my review.I agree with some reviews that the quality should be a little higher for the price, this is why i knock it down a star. However in saying that, i believe the system is sound, if only for a few minor problems that will plague larger car owners. If you own a compact car like i do, i think this will work great!Update: After a month or so of use, i really like the product still. It doesn't rattle at all in the car and my dog can't get through it either. It's a great thing to have to keep a 1 yr old wild labrador from your newborn baby.Update #2: It's still working pretty decent in the Honda Fit. It has started to rattle a bit but I have fixed that by tying a few bungie cords on the extension bars. The rattle is probably from my lab sticking his head through the seat and the bottom bar opening because he is so excited to see where we are going. Im still happy with the purchase, but be aware that the extension bars at least for me after 6 months began to rattle....cured it by tying bungie cords around the rattling extensions (on the Fit there is a perfect tie down area for the bungie in the cargo area). I would still strongly recommend this product for a Honda Fit.

Just took our two 70-lb rescued Boxers on a 5,000 mile road trip from MD to TX to MI to OH and back to MD. Completely broke our male from jumping into the front driver's seat the second we left them alone in the car, which he had done every chance he got for two years.Unit attaches easily in a few minutes, quickly detaches if you don't need it every day.I easily adjusted it for our full-sized 2018 Toyota Sequoia, and it worked great! It was mounted to the headrests on the front seats to keep the Boxers in the rear seat and cargo area. The unit stayed in place even when the passenger seat was reclined about 3/4 of the way. Height and width are adjustable and stay in place once you tighten the adjustment collars.I thoroughly researched every unit on the market before selecting this one, and was happy with the purchase. Highly recommended for its great design, affordable cost, and easy installation and removal.... and it keeps my two large Boxers out of the front seats!

Très bon produit, peu encombrant, facile à poser et qui n'empiète pas sur le volume du coffre contrairement à ce que l'on trouve habituellement.

Das Gitter ist leicht ein und aus zu bauen. Es ist sehr stabil und passt in verschiedene Autos, entweder in der ersten, zweiten oder dritten Reihe. Befestigung an den Kopfstützen ist stufenlos verstellbar und leicht fest zu ziehen. Kein Werkzeug nötig.Perfekt, wenn man öfters die Sitze umbauen muss.Ersatzteile wie Endkappen wurden mitgeliefert. Perfekt!
