Great German quality.

I was going to return it, after trying it with very hot water from the kitchen sink spout. The material covering is thick- but very cozy. So I boiled water from tea kettle- and only then did it give sufficient heat, which lasted a few hours. The cap screws on nicely and does not leak (thankfully!) and there is an odor which to me is vanilla like and not over powering. So unless you boil water, don’t bother. I have an injury I’m using it for- and it does not conform to the area like the other hot packs do that can be microwaved- but the odor from those are unbearable. So this is a keeper.

This is one of the best hot water bottles I have had, and I've had had many throughout my life. The material that the bottle is made of lasts much longer than the latex one (had another brand with the same material in the past) and the fleece cover is just adorable and very soft. Some have commented that you cannot take it of, which is not true and the way to do so is shown in the instructions (it has to be empty and you just fold it and slide it out through the top). Someone also commented that the warmth did not last and that is also not true. You need to fill the bottle with water that has been boiled first and then left to cool down a bit for 5-10 minutes. That ensures the bottle is warm till morning. Using tap water is best when you don't want the bottle to be so hot (if you are putting it on your back for pain relief, for example) but the warmth will not last that long. If you like sleeping with a water bottle like me, you will love this one for sure.

This product was desired for non-toxic materials; however, it is not effective for (MOIST) heat therapy but only cold therapy. You would have to put boiling water in it to get anything more than slight warmth.Maybe all bottles like this are like that though.

I've been using this almost nightly. Just to stay warm while watching TV or reading. The double fleece cover makes it extra cozy. No smell. No leakage. My hot water stays hot and is still warm 24 hours later when I go to refill it. Great quality, great cover.
