Great grips. My golfing buddies are always admiring them. Everything you need to fit them.

I have been regripping my own clubs for many years, but was finding the major brands were getting ever more expensive, so I thought I would give the Champkey grips a try.The first thing I noticed was that they are tighter to get onto the shafts than their premium counterparts and I wasted one grip as I struggled to get it on to my graphite shaft. The supplied grip tape needs a lot of the supplied solvent to enable the grip to quickly slide across it. I tried using white spirit (which is what I normally use), but this just stripped the adhesive off. I did try some old left over wrap-around grip tape and white spirit and this did make it slightly easier to get the grips on.I have now used the grips for about a dozen rounds. They perform well and I am not conscious of any difference from the previous set of half-corded grips when they were new. Some of the white paint used for the logo etc has already come off, but this is not an issue. They seem to be wearing well. Whether they last as long as their premium counterparts remains to be seen, but at a third of the price for a complete replacement kit, they are looking like they are excellent value.

Re gripped a set of clubsKit includes everything you need apart from a vice though with care you could anchor the club head on the ground whilst sliding the grips on.Quickest and least messy, way is to remove all the old grips and tapes first then apply new tapes to all the clubs.Make sure you apply solvent to the tape and the inside of the new grips before sliding the grips on. They slide on quickly and easily.If you don’t apply solvent inside the grips they are very difficult to slide on.Grips seem to do the job

Once I got the right size these grips where so easy to install and feel great. Fit well look great Well worth buying

The hooked Stanley knife 10/10. Excellent.Vice holder 2/10. It is too small for the thicker end of the shaft where you need to hold the shaft for re-gripping. When you tighten the vice it just pushes the shaft upwards. Tapes 9/10. Adhesive 8/10, the instruction talk about spraying the adhesive but no spray provided, just a bottle is supplies. Grips 8/10. There are minor imperfections in the cord and paint along the seams, but for the price they are an excellent buy. The feel is good and they are consistent in size and weight. I cannot confirm the durability as I have only just fitted them. Nevertheless for the price it would still be cheaper to fit another set of these rather than fit a premium brand.
