Amazing innovation
I recently bought the MS3D Glasses for my new iPhone 15 Pro Max. In the past, I've tried a couple of VR glasses with my old cellphone, including the last one, the S20, but only a specific VR box seemed to work well. Unfortunately, my iPhone is too large to fit into that VR box. The MS3D Glasses, however, work flawlessly with both my new, larger iPhone screen and my old, standard-sized S20 screen. One thing that immediately struck me was the remarkable visual clarity provided by the MS3D Glasses. What's noteworthy is that the viewing angle is reduced just enough for optimal 3D content without the exaggerated wideness that often causes a noticeable keystone effect in VR glasses.I particularly appreciate the design feature that leaves the screen unobstructed, allowing for easy touch-screen control and navigation while enjoying 3D content. Additionally, the fold-flat feature adds tremendous convenience, and being able to transform it into a cellphone stand has been incredibly helpful. It saves me the hassle of having to remove the glasses when switching to 2D content.Overall, the MS3D Glasses are a specialized solution tailored specifically for cellphones, and they have significantly enhanced my 3D viewing experience.

A lot to like but far from perfect.
So the good news -- the lenses are not crap. I have tried a number of different inexpensive 3D viewers designed for smart phones, and it is amazing how bad the lenses can be. Some have been literally unusable. In contrast, the lenses on the MS3D are quite sharp. They are about 28mm in diameter, with a focal length that looks to be about 58mm. There is a relatively minor amount of pincushioning, and have decent edge-to-edge sharpness. There is also little apparent chromatic aberration, which was a real surprise. Keep in mind that with the amount of magnification provided, there will be a screen door effect, but on my iPhone XS Max, it was quite acceptable. The first thing I tried was viewing my own SBS format 3D images using the iPhone's native Photos app. I found that I could not fuse the images because the amount of separation between centers of the 3D image pair was too large. The Photos app allows you to zoom in on an image, but not out. So there was no way to make the width of the image small enough to make my images fusible.Next I downloaded the free "MS3D ChaCha-viewer" app from the Apple App store (it was easy to find). The app was unable to load my own 3D SBS images, probably because they were too large in terms of the number of pixels, but that is just a guess. No error message is displayed, just empty left/right boxes where the images should appear.Next I tried taking a photo using the viewer app which uses the phone's own camera software. This resulted in a 2D photo which was then displayed in SBS format. By that I mean it is just displaying the same image for each eye. Finally I had an image I was able to fuse with no problems! Hurray! Of course there was no 3D effect, this app is not converting 2D images to 3D. There are apps for that, but this ain't one of them. Now there is a paid version of this app called "MS3D ChaCha" for $20 that allows you to take 3D photos using the cha-cha method. I was not willing to buy that app at this point. However the free viewer version allows you to try out their camera software to see how it works. You "use your right eye" to take the first photo. Then a left pointing arrow appears to prompt you to shift the camera to your left to capture the left image. The two images then appear in 3D -- but for less than a second! It then returns to the prompt for buying the app. So unfortunately this preview lets you see how the process works, but does not let you see the final result, not even temporarily. Seems like the way to sell the photo app is to let the buyer capture a few images to see what is possible. It would have been smarter to just limit the number of images captured, or limit how many days the 3D camera function works. As for the viewer itself, it is a clever folding design that in theory would allow you to keep it attached to your phone, tucked up against the phone's back. BUT -- there is no rubber padding on the clamping jaws, just hard plastic, so nothing to stop the slippery phone from sliding about within the holder. As for adjusting the jaws to hold the phone, I needed a pair of pliers to turn the knob to open up them up -- the knob is recessed and hard to grip until you have unscrewed it several turns. It also initially has a lot of friction and is hard to turn using just your fingers. Finally you need to have either perfect vision or wear your glasses -- because there is no focusing mechanism. I need very mild reading glasses to see very fine print, but I could not get a totally sharp image with the viewer's built-in fixed distance -- if only I could move the lenses just a couple of millimeters away from the phone's screen to bring it into sharp focus. So bottom line, this is a very inexpensive viewer. It looks like the plan is to try and make money on the paid app rather than the viewer. I wish the vendor luck with that. How I assign stars in a review. The star ratings are always in relation to the item's intended purpose, type, and durability.5 stars - The item is perfect with no room for meaningful improvement. The item performs its intended function consistently, and without fail. It also appears to be durable in its manufacture and materials.4 stars - While not perfect, any imperfections are likely to go unnoticed in normal use. The item should be durable given normal care and handling.3 stars - The item has significant short comings or limitations, but these do not significantly degrade performance. And/or the item may not be durable if not handled with some degree of care.2 stars - The item has defects or short comings that compromise performance. And/or the item may be likely to fail prematurely even with careful use.1 star - The item does not function correctly in any meaningful way or is very difficult or even hazardous to use. Versatile and Travel-Friendly
The MS3D VR/3D glasses are a great fit for my iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7-inch screen). They deliver clear and immersive 3D viewing without causing dizziness, which is a big improvement compared to other models I’ve tried. What I love most about these glasses is their versatility. Not only do they make viewing VR and 3D content super convenient, but they’ve also opened up a new hobby for me: taking 3D photos with my iPhone. Pairing the glasses with the “MS3D Chacha” app, which costs just $0.99, was quick and easy. The app allows me to capture incredible 3D photos where “what you see in the camera is what you get.” It’s amazing! The folding design of the glasses is another thoughtful feature. It’s perfect for travel, as it makes taking 3D photos hassle-free and convenient. The screw mechanism is especially handy, ensuring the glasses stay securely in place on the screen and will not block the screen, allowing you to operate the app easily—unlike other VR glasses that tend to obstruct it.Overall, these glasses have enhanced both my viewing and photography experiences. Highly recommended!

Useless
Doesn't work. Too narrow together. Can't see even 50% of my cellphone screen. Might work with an iPhone 1 or 2 or something. Not with a modern phone.

By far the best clip-on phone 3D lenses ever
An amazing bit of design here. This is the first set of this type of lens that has ever worked for my middle-aged eyes right out of the box. Of course everyone's eyes are different - I wear +1.75 reading glasses and get a sharp and immersive stereoscopic image from these. The ability to fold the glasses back and store them flat behind the phone is brilliant. These work especially well with the old Sony XV Premium 4K phones. The clamp covers the power button which prevents people from deactivating the view but keeps the volume buttons accessible if you're using an app like "Stereoscope" to scroll through images. It would be great to have a focusing adjustment for the lens and perhaps the ability to switch which side the arm holding the lenses is attached to to accommodate different phone designs, but regardless this is the top of the class for this sort of thing,
