My grandchildren loved this talking hamster! It’s not big as I imagined so notice the dimensions. I was lucky to grab this at a half off price & paid $12.49 for Christmas. It mimics exactly what you squeak or say to it! It’s adorable. It’s a little heavy so I would say it’s not for toddlers to hold. It holds up well with the batteries. It’s made well & is durable. The hamster’s body is made of material that is soft. I’d buy it at regular price in a minute. The adults were entertained! I do recommend!

My 2 year old grandbaby loved this. When she made noise or talked the character copied her. She laughed and got excited.

I bought this for my grandbabies for Christmas. I had the batteries in it already to use as soon as they opened it. My grandsons are 3 and 4 and unfortunately neither liked it. They were afraid of it unfortunately. I thought it was funny as most of us did but not the boys. So we had to put it away til they get older and hope they appreciate it at a later time. I works great. It repeats everything it hears in it's funny voice and it shakes up and down kinda vibrating. Not sure what part scared them, the voice or the convulsions it made when it spoke. Lol... I don't want to terrify them with it so it's out up for now. It was a bit pricey for what it does.. I found several others just like it for much less, of course that was after I purchased it. It's a great fun toy but didn't think it was worth the $30 I paid.

I bought several of these (not on Amazon) last Christmas and were satisfied with them. Everyone I gave them to loved them, adults as well as kids. I first saw a different brand of these and the ratings were so-so. I looked for others and came across this brand. While they are not perfect in audible quality (shouldn't expect perfection in a fairly cheap toy), they are much better than the last ones I bought. I've found that the speech repeat is much better understood if you speak slowly and clearly. The review page wants a rating for volume control. Mine did not come with any volume control. Overall, these are still much better than previous models. (NOTE, an additional bonus: my dogs are afraid of them. Now I know how to keep them out of certain areas!)

Wished this item lasted! It was so awesome and worked well. My daughter accidentally dropped it (not high) it just fell out of her hands, and it broke.

This little guy is super fun and funny. Whatever you say to him he repeats back. It doesn't record it - it's not like you record a message to a toddler and they keep hearing it back...they talk to it and it repeats back. Cute.
