Best drop set pin in the game. I have owned various versions of a drop set pin for over 25 years. So far these have held up to 5x a week use, work in most machines and are small enough to fit a pair in workout shorts pockets. I bought 2 pairs (4 total) because I liked them so much. I love everything about the idea of these. Dropping weights on seating hamstring curls and machines where the left and right weight stacks are separate is prime real-estate for these. But, the pins perform differently from each other in a very consistent and predictable way.One performs exactly like the adverts show.The other...I don't know if the spring is too strong or the locking mechanism too weak. Over about 48 sets this one has either been impossible to seat without it shooting out on its own, or simply the movement of me touching the handle it will shoot off into next week. And then, most surprising to me is it will drop the weight mid-set. This might be a specific use case like when I am doing drop sets on arms and the delta between the 2 sets is only 10#.I don't know if it is better or worse that I consistently have problems with one of them. I guess it means that it's not user error if one is always solid and the other always a surprise.
