Does this model duplex scan?

No it does not. I thought it did when I purchased it, but after reading the specs more closely I found out that it did not. I also am somewhat disappointed in the quality of the scans. If scanning is very important to you, another model might be a better choice.

Does this come ready to use - includes regular toner cartridge and drum unit? And what is the drum capacity?

Unit comes ready to use with starter toner 1,000 page yield. TK1152 is the toner needed. Drum capacity as stated by Kyocera 3 years or 100,000 pages.

can i add another paper feeder draw with this printer?

Yes you can add Kyocera PF-1100 (250 Sheet Paper Tray)
