This is now one of my favorite watches. It looks great on my wrist. The silicone strap is very comfortable and the red, black rose gold combination is stunning!

I like the appearance of this watch, as it is both casual and eye-catching in the black-and-gold colors. All components of the watch, from the crystal and non-moving bezel to the comfortable rubber strap are of good if not special quality. I have a relatively small wrist, but the strap fits me fine with the two keeper loops spaced well to keep the strap flat against my wrist.The watch comes in an attractive box, making it suitable to give as a gift. The box includes a small microfiber cloth for keeping the watch shiny and a good user manual with both text and visual instructions. The instructions are necessary and helpful as setting the time is not intuitive, but still simple to remember. I should mention that the small booklet has instructions in English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.The product description on Amazon touts the "precise and quality movement." The best, or at least most expensive, time pieces usually have Swiss-made movements. Less expensive but still high-quality watches have Japanese movements. I am disappointed that this watch does not identify its own movement, which is the beating heart of any watch. Because it is made in China I suspect that it has a Chinese-made movement. If that is the case, why not state it explicitly? Is the company ashamed of its movement's origin? This should be standard practice and I see the type of movement on the back side of every good watch that I own. This failure reduces my rating to only average: three stars.What I do like most about this watch is its simplicity. I only need one function: keeping accurate time. After setting the time and date the watch has been reliably accurate. It also includes a stopwatch function, which I may use occasionally, although I also have this function on my smartphone. I have other watches that allow me to set two times, each for a different time zone but again my phone does that for me.The watch is moderately waterproof, at least protective against rain. And the face is luminescent, though it is not especially bright in the dark. That could be a factor of how much light the watch is exposed to during the day.Given my needs, this is a watch I will wear for many occasions except the most formal ones. If the movement had been identified I would be inclined to give it four stars.
