Miraculous
This is a miracle in a can, and I'll buy it again! Long coated blue GSD(87%). Those tangles and mats where there's any chance of body parts rubbing together, plus behind the ears from two coats when walking? Used some big sprays, let it dry, and they all brushed out with almost zero pulling. The compacted undercoat on his hips where i suspect someone in his life before i adopted him shaved, also are detangled w/out pulling. Saved my pup lots of frustration and me a lot of time.

Works well on matted hair
Works perfectly to help get tangles out of bearded collie hair. It will make their hair super shiny and more manageable. A little goes a long way but doesn’t make it oily. I really like it and well worth purchasing if u have long hair dog that easily tangles.

Reduces static, loosens mats.
I used this as an aide when grooming my Maltese dog. I keep her hair at about 4-5" in length, and at times, it mats to the point that I'm tempted to just shave her down. The matting is worse when the air is dry and static electricity becomes a problem. This spray, when used just generally all over her, lightly, calms the static. For the heavier mats, I spray it directly on the mat, from about 3" away, and press the mat with my fingers to spread the spray throughout. Then, with the stronger first tooth of a comb, I can snag small pieces of the mat and pull them free. Without the spray, I would break a lot of hair. With the spray, the hair slides out of the mat, at least a lot of it does. There is still some breakage, but it's minimal.I spritz her lightly everyday, and it helps a lot in keeping the mats from forming in the first place. I found it to be very helpful in managing a long, thick coat.

Great spray for unruly hair :)
Bought this spray for my sister as she recently bought a dog. Her dog is a rescue and needed a lot of TLC. He needs to be brushed a few times a week and hates that. This spray is used by me for my dog and I always find it helps to reduce the brushing time needed. At first she was like no difference at all but now she is stuck on the spray. Her dog, Coop is ok with her brushing him as I also bought her a Chris Christensen detangle round brush with this spray. Coop looks so much better brushed and I am happy at least he is ok with all his knots getting brushed out! Just wish all these brand products were nicer priced!

This works!
I have about been at my wits end trying to get mats out of my dogs hair. He spends the summer running in”big” sprinklers. Sticks his head right in them. (Doesn’t drink the water) consequently, his fur gets matted and has to be brushed out. Nothing was working until I tried this. He can now tolerate the brushing so his sprinkler running can continue for the time being. This product also seems to stay in his coat so it is helping repel some of the water. For reference my dog is a sheltie mix. Longish hair, but not a coat as dense as a purebred sheltie.

Amazing
I have a mini Aussiedoodle, even though I line brush and comb him every single night, he somehow developed a few small mats on his back leg. Our groomer uses the Chris Christensen Ice on Ice products when she grooms him. I called and she told me about this. I ran as fast as I could to Amazon. I sprayed this directly on the mats, massaged in with my fingers, and let soak for about 5 minutes. The mats came out so easily with my Chris Christensen Big G slicker brush. This will now forever be a staple in my home maintenance kit.

Don't leave it in
This stuff works -- I can pull apart hopeless felt mats and work them out with a rotating pin comb instead of cutting them out. HOWEVER! You have to wash it out when the mat is out, don't leave it in -- it's a mat relaxer, it's not a detangler. If you leave it in the hair binds up again like nothing I've ever seen, at least it does on my Maltese. I went from a dog with a few mats to a dog with no mats to a dog so badly matted she couldn't move properly -- thick leg mats formed and then bound to her stomach fur in two days. This stuff caused the problem but also allowed me to save her coat, although it took a lot of sessions over several days. I didn't even realize it was the spray at first, even though by the time I got one leg done the last one had mats again without the dog leaving the grooming table. She did not appreciate it when I figured it out, because I had to get one leg done and stick her in the sink to rinse it off, then bring her out and work on the next leg and do the same. It's a spray, so be careful about overspray, you have to rinse off anywhere you spray it or it will cause new mats when dry. The sprayer is good, it's not a very fine mist so it doesn't drift far and it doesn't linger to be breathed by the dog -- overspray is probably only a problem with teeny dogs. It's a good emergency solution, definitely better for serious mats than anything else I've tried, but the rebound/binding thing is difficult to work with if you have a lot of matting to tackle. If the mats aren't terrible or if your dog isn't easy-going about sessions of comb-dunk-comb-dunk you're better off just using a leave-in detangler. I didn't try spraying water or leave-in detangler on the groomed areas, that might work to prevent the binding effect instead of washing the spray out. I also didn't try it on my other dog, standard poodle, maybe coarser hair won't bind up. It's also possible the binding effect is an interaction with the conditioner or detangler used by the mobile groomer. This spray was definitely the problem, but it works very well -- just be aware it can compound the problem if you don't rinse once you've defeated the mat.

Saved me from having to shave my Aussiedoodle
I was desperate to look for a solution to help me with the inevitable matting that comes with my dogs coat due to being an Aussie doodle. I thought I was going to have to shave her and I even made an appointment to do so but while I was scrolling through Amazon I saw this as a suggestion. I read all of the reviews and still was hesitant but I took a leap of faith, and bought it. I am now sitting here with a dog that is completely Matt free and looks like A show dog. Also you should totally get the brush from this maker as well. It’s worth every penny!
