This is the first time I have ever used an epilator. I like that it’s rechargeable and although it’s a bit loud, it got the job done, and my legs are soft and shiny. Make sure to use this at night or on a day you’re not planning on going anywhere. My legs were a bit swollen and had red bumps all over and I felt a stinging sensation for a while. It hurts a little bit on the legs, almost like being poked by needles but it wasn’t too bad. Breathing out during the process helps. In the bikini area it was pretty painful and I’m not ready to try the armpits just yet. I would recommend this product.

Game changer! I usually have coarse leg hairs and it feels like I need to shave hours after I shave. This works great if you shave the day before because the short hairs then come right out with it. Then I tend to use it every 2-3 days then there is now pain because there are hardly any hairs. Beats having to shave every day and still feeling and seeing the hairs... You will be red after first use and should avoid sweating after use just like waxing.

I didn't read the specs closely enough when I bought this. I was looking for a facial epilator and didn't realize Braun had another one specifically for the face. The instructions did not warn against facial use either. In any case, I tried this on my chin, and it didn't remove all my thick chin hairs (I have PCOS), but it DID leave nasty "burns" on areas where I passed over the skin too many times! Well, I learned my lesson. The next time, I tried it on my legs, and it actually did very well and seems to keep the hair away much longer than shaving. As others have said, yes, it does sting a bit. Shaving cream or soap on your legs as you epilate should help. And for me, at least, the redness it leaves behind on my leg skin fades quickly (moisturizer helps). Overall, still a useful item (the facial epilator, though? Different story...).

Already broken after maybe half a year, not the quality I hoped for, waste of money. Now I have to buy a new one, but I’ll change brand.

I used to use my mom’s old epilady with the coils, which hurts really bad until you’re used to it. This is nothing like that. The Braun works well; long battery life and fast charging time. I love the light for precision and safety. Using this epilator a thousand times quicker and more convenient for me than using a plain razor—(and no cuts or razor burn!)—but could it be no pain no gain? I noticed it’s hard to get every single leg hair at the root, unlike with the old coiled epi. Either way, I’m happy with my upgrade so far.
