I was looking at another item from a different brand, then discovered these for a lesser cost, and yeah oh yeah, they surely do the job just fine!! I pulled a little hard once and had beans flying all over the place - that said to me the vacuum seals for real!!! It's a great concept, plunge the air out, keep beans airless! Working great so far! Bought larger!!

This cannister looks like they took a stainless steel French press and added a lid with a seal on it. It barely holds a pound and although it seems to keep my beans fresher than without, I will be buying something a bit better and probably more expensive. The top of the product with the seal is somewhat cheap. After I filled it with beans and sealed on the top, I picked up the container by the handle, like the video shows. Well, the seal let loose and the Beans went spilling everywhere. Not cool man. Not cool at all. I wont be buying again but as forementioned will be upgrading, to perhaps, an electric vaccum container. One that holds more than 1 pound!Update:After using my coffee vacuum canister for month and finding that it did indeed keep my beans fresh, and after seaching for a better product and finding nothing but a bunch of cheap looking and more expensive alternatives that the reviews say break after a few months to a year, I decided to order a other one of these KIVY Cannisters. It seems I was working the lock mechanism all wrong. Once I figured that out and got it to seal properly it's been smooth sailing with fresh beans for at least a month. The alternatives are either way to expensive for a bean storage or we're built to break. The KIVY keeps it simple, does what it says it can do and sells at a resonable price. This product is a winner and I'll think twice before writing a hasty review after having the the product for only a short period of time. I now give this product 5 stars for what it is and what it does. ~ 😎

I’m seriously impressed with the KIVY Vacuum Coffee Canister. The push-lid design is simple but genius — I can actually hear the air whoosh out when I seal it, and my coffee smells just as fresh days later as it did when I opened the bag. No more sad, stale beans!The design is modern and minimal, so it looks great on the counter instead of hiding in a cabinet. It’s easy to use, clean, and feels really sturdy — not some cheap plastic thing. Plus, it holds a full bag of beans with room to spare.

Excellent product perfect seal to maintain fresh coffee

Was looking for something to help keep our coffee in the trailer fresh as long as possible and this works great. I also didn’t want plastic or glass cause if it jumped ship out of the cabinet during moving day I needed it to be sturdy. This keeps my coffee fresh and I don’t have to worry about it spilling or breaking if knocked over. Price is well worth the buy

Does not hold a 12 ounce bag of ground coffee. It's a bit messy too when you take off the lid. Looks nice and fits in the space I have allocated to coffee storage. Seals just fine so far.
