This Smartbox Wireless CarPlay Adapter works as described. Very easy to plug and play. My 2018 Honda Civic has Apple Carplay but required my phone to be connected with a wire. Tried this Smartbox adapter and it works smoothly and it shows up on the iPhone as one of the Carplay connections, which can be customized on the phone to remove unwanted apps from the Carplay screen in the car. Overall pleased with this adapter.

This is a great device, easy to set up and works straight out of the box. Bluetooth connection is straight forward and then car play starts automatically every time. I was so pleased with it I bought a second one for my daughter’s car as well. Would recommend.

After numerous issues with cables and android auto i decided to give this a go and it works brilliantly.Followed the instructions and set it up in about a minute. It automatically recconects every time i get in the car. Not dropped the connection once. It is really small so doesn't get in the way and i don't have a cable hanging around or have to have the phone lying around in the car. As it connected wirelessly my phone just stays in my pocket or bag so no accidently leaving your phone in the car when you get out.After a bit of experience there are a couple of considerations;It can only connect to one phone at a time which is probably fine for most people but me and my partner both use the car and often travel together so often connect different phones to the car. You can swap the connection but it is 'cumbersome' to do so. If you regularly connect multiple phones to the car at different times it might be easier to buy one for each phone and swap them around as needed.I have really noticed the drain on the battery of the phone connected to the device/car which is expected but leads us to the final consideration.We tried pluging in the phone in other car socket to charge it while it was connected to the wireless device and it seemed fine until we got back in the car and the car seemed to have gotten really confused and wouldn't connect to the phone wirelessly through the device or when plugged in via a cable. We had to reboot the stereo and reconnect the phone to get it working again.Luckily we have a USB powerpack in the car anyway for emergencies which we now use for charging the phones. Car charges the power pack when low...power pack charges phones when low.If you were reasonably technically minded i have though about trying to change the USB settings on the phones so it doesn't try to connect to the car when plugged in and thus in theory the car doesn't get confused but changing the USB setting on your phone can lead to issues with other devices and as we had a power pack in the car anyway that seems to be working fine so haven't actually tested it.

It worked straight out of the box. I paired the Bluetooth by powering it up in my phone charger, then later on I plugged it into the car USB for my media and Android Auto. With the wi-fi enabled on my phone it worked just fine. I tested the maps and music play via VLC all 100%. No more unreliable cables and wear on the USB ports. One tip is if you have a VPN on your phone, you'll need to disable it or go to system apps, Android Auto and allow it to bypass before it will operate correctly!Neat little unit and it works 100%! 👍👍

The CARPLAY wireless adapter works seamlessly and after easily syncing it, it connects as soon as you start the engine every time.It is very small and plugs into the standard USB socket securely, if needed, there is a USB A to C converter and an extension cord USB A to C converter too.It was delivered quickly and safely and is a great addition to my 2022 Toyota RAV4.I have also synced my girlfriend’s phone too, so it can be connected to another device.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for great value and functionality.

This adaptor works really well. It connects to my iPhone quickly and provides a stable connection. There’s no lag and my car’s touch screen is as responsive as when I used CarPlay with a wired connection.Sadly, I’ve stopped using the device after just over a fortnight for a few reasons. Firstly, my car’s app can’t connect via Bluetooth to my car while the adaptor is in use so I lose all the trip data it normally records. Secondly, an automation to switch my phone in and out of silent mode when I arrive or leave work doesn’t trigger while connected to the adaptor. Neither issue is a big deal but both work flawlessly with a wired connection.

The product is small and very easy to set up, google maps is a breeze and links in straight away at first. But when playing music it keeps beeping every 20-30 seconds, that and after two weeks of use it keeps dropping its connection too. God knows why, so it is going back. A shame as it was great at first. I will try another brand/seller and see how that goes.

My car has lots of bells & whistles but for some reason, the only way to connect to CarPlay was with a cable. Not any more! My phone can be in my pocket or my bag and it connects immediately.2 Minute set up process and it literally is plug & forget! Brilliant.
