Cuts just like regular bypass clippers
Sharp and easy to use. Just the extra length we need sometimes from the top of a ladder. A lot safer to use this than losing your balance

Great tool
Just what I needed! This thing is great. I was able to reach and trim some low hanging branches.

This is a very good quality tool
I am returning this despite the quality is really good and I like the metal handle and the cutter is cute and strong. However, the picture is misleading. I thought, the pole is adjustable and I can make it shorter to collect tomatoes without stressing the bush and longer to cut some thin branches on my pear tree and roses.

Well thought out product
I bought this to cut lemons off my tree. Now I can cut lemons from the middle of the tree without getting wounded by the sharp spurs. The device lets you cut a lemon and hold it until you want to release it. Very good build quality.

Useful, But Not Perfect—Great for Hard-to-Reach Fruit with Some Flaws
Overall, I like the GARTOL Pruner for Garden, but it has its ups and downs. It’s a great tool for reaching fruit high up in my trees, and the cut-and-hold feature is really handy—when it works. Unfortunately, it’s not super reliable. I’ve dropped plenty of ripe persimmons while using it, which often ended with them smashing to the ground.I did find that adjusting the tool (as others suggested) made a noticeable difference. Before the adjustment, the hold feature barely worked at all, so I’m glad there’s a way to improve it. That said, the pruner broke after about two months, which was disappointing. Here’s the thing, though—I’ve tried other brands, and none of them could hold the fruit at all after cutting, so I ended up ordering another one of these. Was it worth $35 for just two months of use? For me, yes, because otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to reach the high fruit in my trees at all.If you need something lightweight and functional for occasional use, this pruner gets the job done, but don’t expect it to last forever. I’d give it 3 out of 5 stars—it’s helpful but could definitely be more durable and reliable.

Good Pruning Tool
Bought this to trim branches from a newly planted fan palm tree and recently used it for that purpose. It worked as expected on those branches. Also used it on some evergreen trees. It cut most of them with no problem but struggled on trees with harder wood. That said, I nearly filled a 95 gallon trash can with trimmings from the ten evergreen trees that I trimmed. This tool really sped up the process on the evergreens and fan palm tree. The only negative is the safety catch which is a bit hard to slide to unlock and lock the blade.

Dull blade
The instructions were simple, but the blade appears to be quite dull. I attempted to cut a quarter of an inch tree limb, but it wouldn’t work. This tool was so promising but resulted in a letdown.
