The first thing I will say is that there seem to be reviews for different products here, not only the pictured brass adaptor. Mention of putting on to a tap and securing in place with a strap sounds like a completely different product is being discussed.I have a Hozelock lance for watering my garden, attached to the end of my hose, originally by a plastic version of one of these.Last week I dropped it on the driveway and the adaptor sheared. it was several years old so had probably become brittle. To keep working I took the same type of adaptor out of a smaller hose gun-sprayer, and used that while I ordered these brass versions.They fit the lance and the multi-spray gun, and the hozelock connectors on my differnt hoses all fit perfectly and securely onto this adaptor.While I am very happy with them, they would be perfect if they came with a replacement seal to sit on the large threaded end.Value for money is excellent, two of these are less than double the price of just one of the equivalent Hozelock item in plastic.

This was a nicely made piece of brass. Unfortunately, the connector I was trying to join it to had a very shallow thread. so I had to grind off the "lip" of this brass connector. Easily done. Ensured flatness by dressing the final modified product with sandpaper on a flat piece of wood. An easy modification and now everything is great. (looking at the Amazon site, all of the other manufacturers' brass connectors had this lip, so this is not a problem with the product, rather with the application I was using it for!)

These are great.BUT if you find the hose pops off then use 2 washers as better makes of hose end such as karcher require more space to grip. Of course this applies to any make not just these and amazon sell packs of 20 washers the washer trick works on any and means even pound shop sprays become solid and leakproof the washers in question AREN'T the ones in the illustration, they are the ones in the screw mounting.

I just screwed this into the inlet of a multi tap connector and once the threads are seated all the way down, the spigot is not long enough to click into a hozelock connector.

I replaced a leaking plastic connector on an otherwise perfect watering lance.It fitted perfectly with no leaks.The spare O rings are a nice touch.

Great replacement fitting. Fits ordinary hose lock quick fittings but not long enough for the red stop fitting.Has fixed my issue with the broken part and saved me lots of money 💰

Using to connect hozelock hose to mercury outboard engine flush. Works fine and does activate and work with the hozelock water stop.
