Tasty Tofu
Recently I was advised by my doctor to eat more protein. As a vegetarian I wasn’t getting enough, so I researched and found tofu was a good source. This particular tofu is the best! It nicely braised and you can eat it straight away, so it’s handy if you don’t fancy cooking and great as a snack too!I bought one can to try… now I buy this particular brand in bulk!!

Excellent
Great flavour. Healthy and full of protein. Tastes great. And so beautfully wrapped with no plastic padding, just cardboard and paper. I will no longer purchase anything that has too much plastic. So this was a winner on all counts. A wee bit pricey though...

Surprisingly OK
This was my first experience of tofu and I was expecting a slimy, gelatinous, colourless gunge - but I was pleasantly surprised. This canned, braised tofu looks a little odd when you open the tin; it consists of layers of light-brown, fibrous looking material in a thick liquid (as Lisa Simpson might say, "packed in its own drool"). There is little smell and the tofu has a reasonable amount of consistency and texture - you feel like you are cutting through it with a spoon, rather than just ladeling slime. The taste (eaten cold and without anything else) is pleasant; fairly bland and difficult to describe. The closest comparison I can find is to eating a mild cold-meat product. The upside is that here you have a quite healthy snack meal which can be kept in the cupboard long-term. It's versatile enough to serve with a number of other things, or simply to eat on its own, uncooked. The downside is that this is not cheap and the protein content (about 10%) is not huge. So there is nothing magical about tofu... it's just soya beans after all. But it's certainly a useful addition to the pantry. Definitely worth a try.

Good value, great taste
Consistently good quality, great for a veggie roast or in a Ramen noodle bowl.

Really useful product!
My wife's a vegetarian and really enjoys this braised tofu. You can heat it up and put it in the burrito or taco. You can have it cold in a salad or sandwich. And it's so useful just always having a vegetarian protein option in the cupboard.

Only 1 Tin - a bit pricey
It’s only one tin! I wrongly assumed it was a multiple pack for that price (although it does say 225g, it also says 900g total weight in description). Also, people commenting the QA part relatively recently that it’s the price for four isn’t helpful either. I love this tofu, in fact it’s one of my favourites however it’s a bit pricey at over £10 for a single tin.
