How many chickens is it supposed to hold?

2-3 but if you’re also providing space to free range or a larger run, then 6 will nest in it. There are 2 nest boxes and that is sufficient for up to 12 chickens but I wouldn’t put more than 6 small breeds in it for any amount of time. There isn’t space for a feeder or waterer so we free range and only use the coop at night.

Can I buy two of these and connect them to make one large coop?

I don't see why not. Looks pretty easy to do.
