Q: will it do well if I need to cut top left corner of the stack papers to remove staple from them

Yes, easily! A word of caution, just beware, DO NOT cut the staple with the blade. I ignorantly did this myself and left a gouge in my blade which then scars every cut thereafter until it is sharpened out or replaced.

Q: How many sheets does it cut at one time?

Hello,The cutter is rated to cut 400 sheets at a time, this however will change depending on the weight of the paper. You can see videos on Youtube of it cutting through a entire phone book with ease.Sincerely,HFS

Q: Can you actually SEE where the blade comes in contact with the paper or do you need to rely entirely on the grid?

Yes, you can see where the blade contacts the paper. You have to push the handle down a bit to see where the blade will land on the paper. Once you get the hang of it it is possible to cut quite precisely. If you have crop marks on the paper being cut you can align to them and cut accurately. It is not perfect, but it is very good. The best way to align is to put in the paper, pull the handle down a bit to see where the blade will land, position the paper accordingly then tighten down the paper clamp so the paper can't move, check once more where the blade will land, then make the cut.

Q: Does it come with a warranty?

This is what was noted on the user manual that came with the cutter - "The limited-warranty period on our cutters is 1-year from Date of Purchase. The warranty does not cover blades, feet, knobs, cutting sticks, safety pins, or customer negligence. Shipping damage claims must be submitted within one week of received the product. Returns are accepted within 30 days of date of purchase, no exceptions."
