Two leads. There are another 6 leads in the boxes of refills, but they are a separate purchase.

Can the pencils be rubbed out?

Yes, although I haven't used heavy pressure on them, light marks rub out easily

What grade are the pencil leads e.g. HB, 2B etc, please?

Not sure, doesn't say on the packaging or on the pencils! Seem pretty tough though and have a nice balanced feel when I use them. I'm guessing they'd be HB

does this set of pencils come with lead as well?

The pencils contain leads and are ready to use. Extra leads are available you can buy them as separate colours, I also found mixed packs containing 3 colours.
