If I only live in my condo less than half time, will the filter be good for longer than 6 months?

If you use allot water from the fridge you need to replaced the filter every six months. If not once a year. I hope this helps.

No. You simply install it and allow 6-8 glasses of water to fill to get out all air bubbles. I followed instructions from YouTube.
