Does this have a headphone jack for wired headphones?

No, there is no headphone jack on the RF750. That's the only downfall with this tiny radio.

What is it made out of... plastic or metal? kind of shock nobody's asked that already?

The case is a simple molded plastic. It cannot tame major shock or use by children. On the other hand, it receives multiband just as advertised. For cost and performance it is a fantastic value for your emergency supplies. I'm planning on obtaining at least 2 more.

AM radio is shown on the radio as MW (medium wave).
