Does the negative side of the battery go in first (toward the spring inside)? I don't see any polarity indication within and no instruction sheet.

The positive terminal of the battery goes into the flashlight first.

Why is there a false claim of capacity listed? These cells do not have anywhere close to the advertised capacity.

I'm not sure that's a question That I could answer. but I guess it's just buyer beware and typical false advertising and they just want to see how much I can get away with before they have to take it down.

It doesn’t have a case. It comes with 6 batteries. I put the batteries I’m not using in a small reusable plastic box.
