Good size and value

This was a bit longer than I envisaged, I think a six inch blade would have been better, but I've used it now and decided to go with it. I've used a chefs knife only once before and it was a dream to use so I Decided to buy one. That blade was about six inches long but I'm keeping this. It's an absolute pleasure to use a chefs knife for onions, veg etc. So easy to chop, there's no struggle...

I bought 2 of these knives 7months ago and have been so disappointed by them. I have previously owned Sabatier knives which have been great but in all honesty I'm wondering if these are fake. The blade has gone rusty in several places and despite keeping it in the sheath and pull it diligently through the sharpener every time I remove it from the sheath, it's still not particularly sharp. The £5 set I bought in Dunelm have stayed sharper. Total waste of money.
